Dude! You must not have read the articles on this. They have mountains of evidence against this guy. They could throw away 50% of it and still get him.
List of his Failures
-Rents car in his name to commit the crime
-Text 2 people that assisted him right before the crime-
-His own home video captures him with a gun in his hand right before he leaves
-Drives to victims house to pick him up in the rental
-Texts the victim "We're here". Thus leaving a communication trail
-victims sister witness victim getting the the silver altima
-Drives victim and allegedly accused him of hanging out with people he (hernandez) didn't like
-Victim texts his sister while in the car with Hernandez and asked her who was he with at the club because he obviously didn't know hernandez was wolfing about
-Pull off street. Video shows he pulled off the street, minutes before this dude was merked
-Gunshots reported by folks in the area
-Video shows silver altima getting back on the street/expressway
-Hernandez security cameras film him entering back home shortly after, like 2 minutes after. Victim was killed 1 mile away
-Police get text records and triangulation records of cell phone locations.
-Rental agency found bullet casings in the car. Done!!!! Along with the bubblegum this nigga bought.
Now Delete 50% of the above bullet points and you will still have a strong case.
The nigga ain't coming home fam. And from the looks of it, the dude (victime) really didn't know what the fuck was going on.

At a minimum they have him on Tampering with evidence and Obstruction of justice.... Which in Mass are both Felonies. After reading some of the evidence from the state, I'm about 90% percent sure that one of his boys took a deal as a state witness. The D.A. knows to much about what was said in specific conversations during the incident.
I have lost plenty of trials based on circumstantial evidence. I don't know why people think that a jury will not convict someone without a murder weapon. Plus... lets be real dude looks like a privileged thug. He freaking has "Blood" tattooed on his hand and has photos of him throwing up gang signs and carrying a hand gun. You let a jury see that your client has gang affiliations and you might as well walk him to jail yourself.
He does have some good facts on his side, but it's going to be tough to say that Hernandez didn't do something. If I was the D.A. on this... I would definitely try to push for conspiracy to commit murder.
Even Aaron Hernandez foresee's himself going to jail... and it might be on more than one murder. Dude was questioned about a murder back in College... case is still open.
