It's been eight years since the music world lost the woman known to us as Aaliyah.

I was still in the Army when it happened. I was at Bolling AFB in DC on duty and I saw the news of her death. I was stunned.

To this day, I still cry every time I listen/watch the "I Miss U" video.

Rest in Peace, Beautiful Angel.

R.I.P Baby Girl. I remember that day I woke up and heard the horrible news. I remember seeing her at Summer Jam. Her passing hurt a lot. She was a great person overall not even for the music. New York's and Detroit's own.
