What i did to him was revenge for what he did to me. I'm an escalatory personality though. You hit me i'm going to get you back 5x's harder. You steal from me? I'm going to do something that will cost you 5x's as much as what you owe me. But it's going to be foolish for me to think you'll learn your lesson from my retaliation though. So i won't be around for when you come back at me.
I think anybody who sticks around after they do something to someone else is just stupid. I've seen it alot. Had an associate who kicked her worthless boyfriend out of the house. He broke back into the house later trashed her shit and stole everything. She was in complete disbelief. OMG how could he do this? I said to her, "Oh you thought just your word was going to mean it's OVER?" You doing something to someone and they perceive they've been wronged? It's not over for them. It just got started.
I'd rather sever the relationship rather than be at each others throats. If I lived as you described I would be wearing an orange jumpsuit. Once I'm in, I'm in I won't back down. The retaliatory thing doesn't work well for me. It only adds to intensify an already bad situation.
