I knew Mufasa was gonna win...... more body mass & endurance... someone just posted a video with giant wolves that went extinct, explaining the way that the big cats bodies developed for certain killing styles.... how Tigers front legs enable them to wrap them around their prey with claws gripping it and making that kill bite on the neck, clamping down till it suffocates

According to the people who made the video the tiger was two years younger.
Tigers out weight them by 200 pounds.

I'd put money on the tiger all day. Plus; male lions arent the trained killers their female counterparts are known to be. The perfect example of "big for no reason"
The male lion primary job in the wild is defense against hyenas. The Lioness can take on almost anything and kick ass...anything except for a hyena, or a pack of hyenas.
A lioness is no match for a hyena or a pack of hyenas.
But a male lion is. I've seen many a video where male lions come in and whoop a pack of hyenas. The reason why the male lion is bigger his defense against hyenas. Otherwise the species would not survive. Hyenas are bullies and the male lion is a bigger bully
That said, human beings are cruel as fuck to do this. It's just evil. To lock two animals that would never see each other in the wild, not to mention tigers are extremely endangered, but just to have them fight for the death For Your Entertainment is sick and cruel
Evolution didn't build Tigers for that fight.... as I explained above....

The lion is older and lighter in weight. The tiger would have easily killed the lion had it not been for its mane protecting vital areas. Also, I am curious to know whether this is an Indian lion versus an African one. African lions tend to be larger and more aggressive than their Asian counterparts.

If I remember correctly, Romans regularly had fights between tigers and lions and more often than not, the Tigers won. African lions vs Asian Tigers. Tigers live a solitary life and that makes for some hardcore creatures.

In life, they would avoid each other because it's too risky to risk injury (which would be a death sentence even if they were to win) battling an enemy so evenly matched especially when there are far easier prey to stalk. They might threaten each other, play chicken, or even throw a few jabs, but as soon as it got to the point of serious injury one or both would flee as they both attempted to do in the video.
Now if the tiger was in a position to pounce on the lion from a tree or from the high grass then that would be different, but if it really were in the wild the Lion pride wouldn't be that far behind so attacking a lion in this manner would be suicide.
The tiger is the bogeyman of the animal kingdom. A lion won't match up with the tiger.

Also, it looked like they were playing tricks with camera angles. I don't think that fight really lasted as long as it pretends to be.

I don't know, that tiger fainting due to exhaustion looked awfully real.
