That wouldnt be a smart move. The majority of islands have laws that require the entire family to agree to the sale of land. You could have 40-50 people who all have to agree or the sale wont go thru.

In this scenario, the land developers have only 1 man to negotiate with. If he dies, they will have to strike a deal with the whole family. Much harder situation.

Why would you sell heaven?

Exactly!

Another thing, once that kind of natural landscape is disturbed, it will takes centuries to return to its natural state. And when I say disturbed I mean developed on, excavated, graded, concrete slabs poured, improvements erected. As city folk we take that this for granted and think that everybody lives like us, but some people genuinely love nature and all it's unique characteristics.

This reminds me of Castaway, for many that would have been hell, but thats heaven for me. Alone on an island, no stress, just eating good fish, building shit w/ my hands, using my mind to figure out how to make tools, cultivating a garden....
I know I'm in the minority here, but I have a landscape company and I've grown to love the work man. It's easy to cut shit down, but it takes time, attention, and dedication to make shit grow and grow healthy.

It's helped/helping me w/ my patience.

man he can do some creative shyt if he wants to leave the kids and do something for the village I wouldn't sell the land I'd lease it to them for 25 years for about 35 million let them do their improvements then leave it up to the heirs at the end of the lease how to dispose of their newly aquired assets..but thats just me ....I hope the developers don't bribe some country officials and take the mans shyt

i hope he has family to leave it to and he makes a will that does not allow it to be sold or developed.

otherwise they will just wait him out.

Hope so.
If they offering $60 million that means they can make $180 million on it
