A simple question

Anyone can look up Wikipedia. What is the difference between the Fairness Doctrine and the Equal Time Rule? How do they hinder free speech?

1. You are telling a company that they HAVE to have a different source of an opinion. For example, Rush/Hannity have to have an Olbermann either in their studio, or as a show opposite of Rush/Hannity. Plus, the FCC has to allow the certain radio show a license. Who to say that the FCC *during certain political pressure* would allow ANY station to carry Rush/Hannity anyway?

Not to mention, a lot of talk radio stations would have to change format due to NOT wanting to go through the FCC hand ringing.

Censoring by bureaucracy.

2. Didn't I just say the "equal time rule" was a precursor to the fairness doctrine. It's like the League of Nations was the precursor to the UN.

The folks who sympathize with this philosophically misguided miscreant should be reminded of the Republican field. Because of the winner take all of the Republican primaries, the Repugnants already have a business oriented intended nominee with Romney. Or maybe you're trying to imply he will get on the ticket as the vice president. Its too far away to imagine these scenerios.
