A question to sports fans...

It was good to see Spurs back to winning ways.

OK, I'm going to make an official pick and say that I think when the night is over this song will be heard across the country...

...I'm picking Pittsburgh to win...

You saw the game. Nuff said.

What were your impressions? I thought it was a great game, with allot of drama at the end. As a football fan did you get your fill? In my opinion the only thing that would have been better is if the Giants were there and won...

Replace Giants with Ravens, and you'll know how I feel. Still it was a good game overall. But the 100 yard interception for a TD at the end of the first half was the game-changer in my opinion.

Naw, I think we'll keep it Giants. No need to replace them as Superbowl winners with the Ravens or anyone else......I agree with you though, Harrison's pick was the game changer. I'll be honest though, when AZ took the lead I kinda thought it was over. I say that because at that point Pittsburgh's O Line could not stop Darnell Dockett. He was in Ben's face the entire time AZ made their run. I also thought the Cards had the momentum, and that Kurt and Fitzgerald were picking apart Pittsburgh's Defense. But, once again Big Ben made some incredible plays and moved the team down the field for the win. It was a great finish.

YEP!!! HOPEFULLY, this...

...will be the team that wins it all too...

not going to happen Hansborough has all that game but he is pussy. He dont have the heart of a champion. He dont have that we down by xxx with 2 minutes to go give me the damn ball.

One person can't win a National Title alone. It's a team effort. I might be biased, but I honestly believe that if the Heels play their best basketball NO ONE in America can beat them. Hopefully they'll turn the heat up in the last few games of the regular season and on in to the post season. If/when they do that, and if/when they play as they did before losing the BC game there is no doubt in my mind the title is ours. Anyway, since you don't believe Carolina will win it, who do think and/or want to win it all? What do you think makes them more equipped to be champions than Carolina and everyone else?

When that A game isnt on that is when they going to need big pussy hansborough to step up and i just dont think he has it. I think Pitt will be able to make a nice run at the crown this year. I'm not sold on UConn at 1 they will be taken to the ropes tonight it will be interesting to see if they can pull through. Wake has a tough squad also.

Come on you Eagles!!!

Let
's go!!!

Big pussy hansbourough had a double double even though most of his points came from the free throw line. :smh::smh::smh: If lawson cant come back and be productive North Carolina is fucked.

Yo, you two cats have some serious hatred for Mr. Hansbrough, what did he do to you? Seriously though, why do ya'll hate this man so much? Whatever the case you may not like him, but you gotta give him props for being a very good college player. Night in and night out the guy puts up numbers. Personal feelings aside you can't deny his stats. The man is about to become the all time points leader in ACC history, you've gotta be talented to do that...

in my opinion when they win his flaws are hidden you know he gets his double double and everything is fine in dandy. in those games when they are down by 5 with 2 to 4 minutes to go and he cant dig deep inside and go on the block demand the ball and lead his team to the W is what i have problems with.

MCP are the Spurs still in their regular season, or are you in the post season? What league are you in? Have you guys won any titles?

Spurs are still playing in the 'regular season'. We don't have play offs like that in the US. We have divisions like that in college football. Spurs are playing in the Premiership which is the top division in football (Soccer to you guys).

At the end of the season the bottom three teams get relegated down to the championship league and the top three teams from the championship gets promoted to the Premiership (Hope this makes sense)

The top four teams at the end of the season qualify for the champions league, which is a competition based on the best football teams from each country playing each other on a round robin basis to find out the best football team in Europe.

They were high expectations for spurs to improve from last season, but had what only can be described as a shocking start to the season. (We were bottom of the league with the threat of relegation looming). Slowly and surely with new management in place we have moved away from the danger zone.

We played at Wembley stadium against Man Utd for the Carling Cup, only to lose on penalties.:angry:

If you need some more info on Spurs go here www.spurs.co.uk

Hope this helps.

Peace

I have to disagree with you on that one sir......Take a wild guess who I think is going to win it all......

CT, are you thinking of doing a bracket contest on the SOL board? I'd think it would be interesting to see how the fellas (and the ladies) fare with their picks. You never know, in the years I've run one at my job I've had people who know nothing about basketball win, just picking randomly or by where they grew up (yeah, we've had people who grew up in NC a few years ago).

BTW, I am sorry to go against you, but I think that Pittsburgh does it this year. . . As usual, I think that Duke was seeded too high and I predict they go out in the second round...

Cinderella teams Villanova and Syracuse (they really aren't as good as a 3 seed, but had a good Big East Championship run and that classic game)

Actually, I've never done the brackets thing. I just pick and root for the Heels every year...... You're right though, it would be interesting to see what the folks here think about what will happen. I also agree that Dook is over rated and they'll lose in the second MAYBE third round. Actually, I think if they play Texas they're done though. I just hope that regardless of what other people do, North Carolina comes out there focused and ready to play. We left one out on the table last year. I really think the seniors (e.g. Hansbrough, Green, etc.) deserve to win a title in their last year too. Those guys had to play major minutes as freshmen because the top 7-8 players from the '05 title team left. They've put in major work, so it would be nice to see them win the whole thing before they leave...
