If I lived in that district and she was the dnc candidate, running against a trumpian rpub I would still vote for her. It reminds me of when people wouldn't vote for men with long hair much less afros. I also know that female politicians were often rejected just for wearing pants or living together while unmarried. And finally, people certainly wouldn't vote for an openly gay candidate. Times change and the social mores change. I don't really think there are many women in their twenties that haven't engaged in twerking, so its not really taboo anymore or even frond upon as it was originally in the larger culture.
