My grandfather was cleaning up the park after a bad storm in 1963. He picked up a live wire. My father and grandmother were there. My father had to tackle my grandmother when she ran to save her husband

He died

The city offered to pay her an annuity every year unless she got married. And guess what this dumb woman does....marries a alcoholic bum, smh

In a bit of irony with my other grandfather, he died the year I was born, seven months later.

He died on the 3rd of September...that day I'll always remember. This...really happened

Sorry to hear about your family member.. I work for a electric utility and work with high voltage cables.. Whenever we have a storm our company floods the tv with live wire commercials. They work most of the time but sum try to pull the cables off the fence or outdoor furniture and get bit buy 120/240. A few have got bit by 8kva.. My advice don't touch any wire down.. When we walk in backyards or something, we put our hands in our pockets and just look around. It works wonders with us..

KillaMayne is a master electrician. And trust me..you can't see, smell, or touch Electricity...but you dam sho gonna feel it..brah

Bruh how long did it take you to become a master electrician??

I became a crew leader with high voltage. I went thru a 5yr ibew appnt program, 8hr written test and a 8hr oral test.. 2 of the most stressful days in my life!! It paid off!!

Reason #1 why you should never walk on a manhole lid or park on one on or near a curb!! The same rules apply with a vault lid on the siidewalk or park on one in or near a curb!!

Reason #2, never judge a down cable in your back or front yard by its size!! The smallest cable can carry 8kva on that line!! And stay far away from it!! If the ground is wet, the ground around and near the cable can be conducting whatever the line voltage is!! Just sum advice..

You aint lying.. I remember this dude that lived across the street, where we used to hang out at as teen agers..

he had two prize winning rottwielders that he took everywhere his short ass went...

he loved them dogs...

one sunny day out of nowhere a quick shower came through.. it fuckin poured crazy for like five minutes..

and just stopped.... sun came out...

dude came out with his rottwielders... he forgot something....upstairs...

tied his dog to a lamp post... was about to go upstairs.. then he seen his dog started acting funny, then he tried to touch him... and realized

the dog was tied to the lampost by a metal chain and was sitting in a puddle....

I aint never in my life seen a grown man cry like that.... he was watching his dog die right before his eyes and couldnt do anything about it....

crazy shit is there was no loose wires or anything outside the lamp post..

or anything my eyes noticed...

Yeah, it sounds like it grounded out inside the pole.. I know the dog owner won't like this. Better that dog than him!! I was working in a vault and standing on metal grate and reached in to remove the fuse.. It was a hot humid day. I had cotton gloves on and standing in a little bit of water.. I touched that fuse and my hand clamped down on that fuse!! My knees, elbows and shoulders felt a pain I've never felt in my life!! Good thing I had sum one down there!! He had low voltage gloves and pulled me away from that fuse! After that day, I wore my low voltage gloves every time I went in a vault!! Anyway, that pole could been grounding out for years! Good thing a person didn't get bit!!

Bro I took a hit of 480/3 phase off a bus bar by accident. Shit had me spooked all day. It was exposed and I brushed against it with the back of my hand. I was fucking lucky. After that, they started to put plexiglass at the top of our PDU.'s. The top is about 7 feet up and most cats wouldn't accidentally place their hands near there. Fucking boat moved when we were inspecting it.
