We as ADOS must understand the institution of slavery was so traumatic and gruesome many diaspora blacks (including ADOS) do everything to distance themselves from it. They cant glamorize it or view themselves as a "King" or "God" from it, so the entire experience is disregarded.

This is why you have Pan Africanists that prioritize African World History over Black American history and our experiences. How people born or living in America can claim to be "Black American" but have no commonality or emotional connection to our sharecropping ancestors. But feel a connection to Mansa Musa or Shaka Zulu. How people can get so upset at a politician saying "lynching", but will portray the descendants of victims of US lynchings who want redress as "begging for handouts".
