A Brotha got killed by a child father for calling the little fellow a “King”. This happened in New Orleans

Plot Twist: kid was transgender like D-Wade's daughter and the dad took it as an insult. Shoulda' just said "you've got a great future ahead of you, queen" and kept it moving. But no, he just had to go and say "king".

It's funny like that in the hood sometimes. - Kane

you for real???

Nah there was something going on there, thats being left out....

if it went down like that, then that dude needs to be locked up

and his son may be much better off for it...

IF it went down like they say it did...

Pussy (monkey) on a stick (dick)....maybe...hell iono...but they play the shit of that song in houston too

That would make more sense.

I found myself in a VERY similar situation about five years ago.
My school (at the time in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn) was hosting a "Black Fathers/Men" event.
The turnout was decent.
More men came than expected. So I was going to get chairs.
When I was done, a little girl was standing next to me.
I look down at her and said, "hello, how are you? Your hair looks nice."
"Don't talk to my daughter!"
I turned around and said, "huh?"
Her father was behind me and said,
"Don't talk to my daughter. I taught her not to talk to strangers.
So, I'm telling you not to talk to my daughter."
.
I was going to say something reactive.
But I had to catch myself on many levels.
1. I'm still at work.
2. I'm a professional.
3. This is his child.
.
I had to check myself because his tone was some fighting shit.
But I just said, "Okay, no problem."
In the middle of the function,
he stepped to me, gave me dap and said,
"I'm doing what I got to do to protect my daughter."
I kept it short.
"I feel you man."

Fuck that niggas dap. I would keep it moving but I wouldn't give that fuckin idiot no grace

I hope there's more to this story cause if it isn't the man that did the shooting should be in prison for life.

Some of this bullshit there's no excuse for it and the walk of shame to an awaiting cell is all they need.

I've heard people say "King" to people but I don't give titles and I'm not overly talkative to people I don't know....very to the point and short.

He must have thought the guy was gay and was complimenting/grooming his son. That's likely why he took it to that level now that I think about it.

Dude was in a barbershop so probably complimented his cut or called him handsome or something.

Seem like there was an argument but people who knew the victim seem to feel he wasn’t an confrontational type of guy

man this is very interesting

I don't fuck around in New Orleans. My job is remote and it was a period where we had to report to Michoud and I was armed when I drove out there. My ex-brother-in-law lives off Lake Bullard and I used to go out there all the time.......now fuck that. There ain't no reason for me to be out there.

That's messed up. You can't even compliment someone without getting murdered. I'm done . I'm going to bed.. fuck.being positive . I'll keep that myself. This world doesn't deserve it and there's too many shit heads out there
I guess some people ain't down with the whole king queen rhetoric.

I was just in Lake Bullard this weekend at my boy's house over by the Walgreens and Walmart. Those lake houses are so cool but I wouldn't want to have to pay to maintain one.

Big houses, tiny yards. Last time I drove on Lake Bullard I was scared the suspension on my car was going to need repairs. My brother-in-law's friend bought one of the Hot Boys mansions as a retirement home. The East used to be the spot back in the day. Are you old enough to remember or heard of Club Whispers?

Sad they really killing the village mentality where everyone looked out for each other children. You only get that in small enclaves now or homeschooling networks. He thinks he's doing the right thing but he's isolating his child. Black folks need each other. :smh:

Lol I heard Baby used to have out there. I'm not from there, I reside in ATL so never heard of Club Whispers but I'm sure it was jumping.

A new sports and entertainment complex is being developed at the former Six Flaga site so property values should increase when that is completed.

Yup!
When he responded the first time.
The little girl looked at me frightened.

Whispers was da spot!

The older guy worked for a guy I know. He vouched for the old guy and said he was a good dude. Always positive and complimented everyone in a polite, positive way.

It's sad that he possibly said the wrong positive words.

So let me get this straight...

He killed a man for respecting his son and calling him a King, to end up in jail while the baby mom's next man calls his son a little bastard and beats the shit out of him?

or worse... He ain't there to protect little man from punks and he ends up being called a queen?

Whatintheentirefuck!!!
