The problem is, when they retreated his life was no longer in danger. When you chase someone down and shoot them to death, you are no longer defending yourself, you're executing someone for robbing you.

my concern for this man in his defense is that they had robbed him several times before, which means the only way to 'end the threat' is to end them. sorry to be so harsh, but these ppl were obviously trying to kill him (broken collarbone) and then would have continued to return until they did. What's wrong with these ppl. And i bet the boyfriend in jail things ole dude was "wrong?"

That is taking the law into your own hands and playing judge jury n executioner. This is not the fuckin wild west. You don't execute people because you fuckin want to.
They beat him up n then slammed him which broke his collarbone. At that point old school was incapacitated enough to where if they wanted to kill him they very well could have. But they did not kill him. Instead, the man left to other parts of the house to continue robbing it and she stayed to try to keep him subdued by hitting him. some kind of way old school reached his room and got his gun. He let two off at them while in the house but he missed.
They then ran thru the garage and out of the house. The threat was no longer there. The threat was no longer in his house nor were they on his property. At that point he made a choice to continue a altercation that was no longer there.
He chased them thru the garage. He continued the chase from his property to an alley behind his property. He kept firing at them. And he shot her twice because that is what he chose to do.
Ultimately, he FUCKED up and it was all his choosing
