Yeah I am. I got a couple of projects on hold right now cause I can't find the resources I'm looking for, (I KNOW what I want to write about but since I'm shopping some of these around to some UP's I need some backup), so I'm looking to real life inspiration like historical figures and events that people know little about. Some of that sounds interesting enough to be made into a horror movie....


...and thank you Blunt for the posters...yes, Charleze Theron does kinda look like Wournos...

I was kinda surprised that Aileen wasn't number one on the list. She was really the only one I knew of, so when I found the list I assumed she would be at the top. Once I saw the list I was a bit surprised at what I saw. It's good information though. You really do learn something new every day...

I wouldn't even consider her a conventional serial killer. Maybe more of a "spree" killer. She seemed to kill her "tricks" as a survival mechanism (or for financial reasons). Most true serial killers kill for the pure pleasure of killing.

Good point. Folks like her didn't get any "pleasure" from the killings. The Iceman is another example of someone who didn't get anything from killing either. There are a couple documentaries on him in my Documentary thread and in one of them he said the only thing that really gave him any kind of pleasure/satisfaction was sex. He said that killing didn't "do anything" for him at all.
 
Charlize Theron did an amazing job in Monster. I saw the DVD on sale, I should pick it up. :yes:
