8:46 - Dave Chappelle

I used to think Dave was corny as shit in the late 90’s when he was doing those movies, but he’s grown to be an incredible comedian even touching on subjects most others won’t touch. Real dude and has no problem giving real talk.

Much Respect.

I have to agree. Every time and for whatever reason comedic or otherwise a black person utters the word nigga or nigg*r what would be lost if the word "brother" was said instead? Just don't understand why the word nigga is viewed by many as a term of endearment or harmless identification. I understand saying "nigga" is an ingrained habit, and I've been as guilty as anyone, but it's a negative habit and the word is a pejorative that should be eliminated from our speech as much as possible, or at least attempted imo. :hmm:

I agree with you. The people who use the word do so out of ignorance. Anyone who thinks they "took the word back" is just deluding themselves. They are ignorant of the fact that the underlying programming is coming from white people. The same way the ridiculous "street culture" was invented and fomented by whites. It's all in the aid of advancing our self-destruction. If it's not, please tell me how calling each other n***** is helpful?

He is brilliant but he's just got to stop calling Black men n*****. He's so in tune with other things it amazes me how he can't see how detrimental that is. But then again there are millions more like him, unfortunately.

Now I'll wait for the predictable n***** responses from the ignoramuses on this forum.
good to see you're so much more enlightened than Dave. Can't wait to see your special when it airs.

It's supposed to be harsh. That grinding feeling you're experiencing is 450+ of oppression grating in the back of your skull and stirring the pit of your soul. Use it. We ain't nowhere near over, yet.

I see your point but he like that with everybody. He calls the white chick a bitch

I agree with the 450+ years of oppression, but how does referring to ourselves in negative terms help alleviate that? Seems to me just calling each other brother, bruh, or bro is more of a positive respectful identification than nigga. :hmm:

now would Kevin Hart be this brave??

doubt he even has the chops to pull this off. Dave is both funny & compelling , Hart is neither
Since Kevin Hart is a mainstream corporate entity, he can't take the same chances that Dave can with his commentary. Between HartBeat Productions and the LOL Network, Kevin's not just a content creator he's a job creator, so he has to take into account all of the people on his payroll before he speaks out. Now Kevin himself, he can withstand being "cancelled", he's done enough in the past few years that him and his kids should be straight, but the people who work beneath his corporate umbrella they're the ones who would suffer the most.

Even if Kevin would say something, I don’t think Kevin has ABILITY to deliver anything as potent as what Dave can do.

Dave is just on an entirely different level than most comedians.

When Dave says ni**a, I understand the way he uses it.

It's like a chameleon the way he uses it.

When he uses it in the context for LeBron, I understand it add endearing brotherhood.

When he uses it for Candace or Hannity then I know what he means by it.

That's my take on Dave's usage of it and I'm not bothered by it......

I have no problem with that, I do have an issue with him referring to George that. It would've been much more powerful if he used the word "Brother" or "Brotha" when mentioning George.

IMO
