$5MIL SPACE NEEDLE...GETS $100MIL MAKE OVER...INCLUDING A 37 TON GLASS FLOOR

100 mil is a lot of tax payer money to overhaul a 5 million dollar investment. That’s all
shit was built in the 60's for $5mil.....and is an extremely popular tourist attraction that's gotta be one of the most recognizable buildings in the world.
If I ever go to Seattle...a must see...and dining experience !!!

It privately financed...

"The project, which began in September, cost $100 million, according the Space Needle’s website. The investment is being financed privately. Additional work is expected after completion of the first phase, including repainting the tower and replacing its three elevators."

Fam, it was build 56 years ago, for 5 million. When you consider inflation, cost of construction at over 500 feet, new code requirements, and the return on the investment. I'd say you can get to 100 million, very easy.
Im not from there and didn’t know it’s significance. I didn’t realize it was a big deal over there.

Adjusted for inflation, $5 million in 1960 would be about $42 million today.

Still not a bad deal, especially, as you said, the money it (brought and) brings in off tourist dollars alone.

….either ur from another planet....or born after 2005, if you been to school or have a tv....you know what n where the space needle is !!!:smh:

Thanks for the insult but I haven’t really paid attention to it. Perhaps I’m not that smart or maybe you’re just a better human being than me for knowing things that I don’t know.

This... To people not from that area, it's THE building in their skyline it's known for. It's not longer just a quirky thing they made from the worlds fair. It's their landmark.
