50 Yrs & things are still the same...WAKE UP!

yup, i saw this a few months back, but it was her documentary not the news story,.. sh.t is sad, and as u can tell by the number of comments in here so far, few people give a fuck...

it's a damn shame you missed it the first 10 times this vid was posted on the board,,, i feel you though,,, proceed.

That was deep. There are a lot of forces at work as to why those kids went for the white dolls, but those forces are rarely talked about for fear of offending someone or seeming like an "Uncle Tom". We have to be truthful with ourselves about what's going on in our own communities so that we can change our children's beliefs about their race.

Saaaaayyyy! I hate to say it, besides the few black people we have trying to make strides, for us as a race we seemed to be nowhere. That video is also is a lack of black kids being educated to love theirselves for the simple fact that the white doll theme is pushed on television and there's just going by what's their taught to think, but not necessarily the truth.

Yeah my wife is like that with my daughters...she buys nothing but black dolls for them I never thought anything of it till now...oh and I didn't know it was posted before, I don't have over 7,000 post I have 8 kids and a wife and a job and a life LOL!

I would like to see the reverse experiment with 21 white kids of the same age, you might be surprised. but the video is quite powerful and disturbing but when is the last time you saw a black doll commercial? they control the media and that counts for a whole lot, with all the kats on here that are video gurus start cranking out the positive shorts. point in fact im going to see 300 the movie, but would rather see shaka of the zulu in the same lavish type tale that they tell their stories.
