OMG I love the Ann Rice Sleeping Beauty Trilogy. ... its so un-Ann Rice like... At first I didn't know it was her because its written under A. N. Roquelaure but then after some research .. Shades of Grey has NOTHING on that .. I was actually disappointed at how little sub/dom role was in the book, only a flicker here and there ... I mostly kept reading because of the Christian Character ... the books aren't very well written, but they will entertain you ... It was light reading , easy, and somewhat erotic. But also some things were unrealistic .. but hey. she doesn't care. she's made her mark

All the women on my job were gushing over it like it was something new and fresh - they were having orgasms talking about the book...
But none of the women I questioned every heard of "The Story of O", or knew who Anais Nin was, or was even aware of much better erotic stories that have been written since Victorian times
The 50 Shades trilogy is not well written, someone gave me the PDF files and I could not get through it... Hell, I have read better on the Fuck Stories section on this board!
If 50 Shades is considered great erotic writing then Onyx really needs to publish her work and get paid![]()
Just finished listening to the audiobooks and i think the book was good 7/10. I found it very romantic but the BDSM was lacking. On the other hand, my "vanilla" friends LOVE IT!!! This book is shocking for people that have not tried any "kinky fuckery"before.
Woahhhhhh....MTLHow you been sista been a long time yes. You been lurking too?

I've been here...even got married 2 years ago!!!!!I also read/skimmed through Anne Rice collection last night and this morning. It was great too but not enough of the romance for me. The gay/bi sex got me more than Beauty did
Two a.m. this morning my poor husband didn't know why i was riding his cock in my ass but he didn't complain
So when i woke i finished the stories and masturbated.
As for 50 Shades, i got used to her voice and think that in the end it was the right voice because it kept the innocence that Anna needed. The voice changed as she became more confident and retained some of the childish quality that Christian needed.

no, i haven't read that one, but now I'm about to look for it in e-book, as I need some new reading. To pass the time I've been reading some James Patterson, and im quite bored...Thats how I feel about them I mean after all the hype I was expecting every page to make me wanna be a SUB.....but like you said it just some light reading....
As for Miss Rice....yeah I think of Shades of Grey as wannabe Sleeping Beauty
Have you read her Anne Rampling ones as well?
Peace

this post is HILARIOUS to me.
Hilarious only because my wife read the books... then suggested I read them... and when I asked her what she thought of them, before I started reading them... these were her EXACT WORDS.
