I’m a 49ers fan since 1979. I have enjoyed 5 titles,I have won thousands of $$ of them thru the years. I have suffered thru 2 SB losses and 8 NFC championship game losses. I watched us lose to Minnesota in 1987 as a double digit favorite and saw us lose to Dallas and GB multi times in 1990s but I always thought we would win. There was only 1 playoff game we played since 1981 that I knew we would not win and that was in 1993 NFC Championship game at Dallas. They were better and I knew it and we got our ass kicked. The next year we got Primetime Deion and we won it all with one of our best teams ever and I say was the 10th best SB winner in history. This game Sunday feels to me just like I felt 30 years ago against Dallas. I just can’t find a win against Philly Unless they shit the bed with penalties and turnovers. I think it will be close but I just done know if Purdy can make the plays in 4th qtr against that defense on the road to win it. I hope I’m wrong but I just can’t see it. outside of turnovers how do any of you see a path to win for our Niners.
Yeah fam, I'm not going to lie.....
I don't feel real good about this upcoming matchup
The Eagles are absolutely loaded, damn near every positional group
From top to bottom, offense & defense
Plus on top of that, they had an extra day of rest, + they are at home
And the Giants game they played last week was like a scrimmage
Those dudes didn't even break a sweat, so their squad is fully healthy
But on the flip side.....
I think back to that 2011/2012 49ers vs Saints playoff game
Remember that year the Saints were LOADED from top to bottom
Damn near unstoppable, putting up 30-40 points on everyone
Drew Brees had all kinds of weapons that year
Donte Whitner knocked out their RB in the beginning of the game
Showed them ninjas, we aint fuckin around
Jimmy Graham score a TD with like a minute left in the game
But Alex Smith came back with that last second TD pass at the goal line to Vernon Davis
With that being said.....
I wouldn't bet a bunch of money on the 49ers beating the Eagles this Sunday
But, anything can happen, so we do have a chance
This is going to be like Tyson vs Holyfield
Before the game starts and before we have a reaction to the game let's pause for the cause
This thread started when we were considering trading Alex Smith.
We went through an eternity of hell
Retirements - Bowman boreland pat cowboy
We are here and have stood by the team this entire time
Take that in
We want this win I think we got this
But we are true fans who deserve to be here
