4000 Needed for Auto Exp ... Need Help! BGOL

Just found out today that my 2006 BMW 325i w/95K miles; It's computer that runs the electronics for my transmission bit the dust and replacement cost $4000. The car cranks but I am unable to put in gear to move forward, neutral or drive it's fuck'd up man ....

Need advice I owe 15K but it appears on the market I can only get 10-12K; What would you do BGOL?

A. Fix it pay the $4000 to the BMW dealer and ride to the wheels fall off and it's paid off

B. Got to the junkyard or buy a used computer in car to get running and then sale

C. Find a mechanic who will do the repairs on the cheap

used part then sell quick but list used part so u can't be sued

Junk yard is probably your best bet. If you live near a large city, hopefully someone totalled their car and you can get the part cheaper. If you go the mechanic route, make sure that he's been certified in the past to work on BMWs. Those cars are finicky!

yeah if you can't find it in the local junkyard... ebay got junkyards you could prolly find it there

I'd go to the Junkyard, usually you can call ahead to see if they even have your car there.......save you time...
