Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady has never advanced to the second round of the playoffs in his 12-year NBA career despite seven trips to the postseason.

And now that McGrady is out with a knee injury, it looks like the Rockets will advance to the second round without him.

So McGrady, the playoff expert, had plenty to say about the postseason during this radio interview on 790 The Zone. McGrady said the Cleveland Cavaliers are not that good. When asked which team will win it all, McGrady was quick with his answer.

"Lakers. (Host: That easy, again?) It's no knock on Cleveland, I think Cleveland's gonna get there... Cleveland to me is really not that good. If you take what the Celtics did last year... You knew, they were either gonna get to the finals, or they were gonna win it. You can't really say the same thing about the Cavaliers. Although, they had the best record in the league this year, a lot of people like, 'OK, they havin' a great year, but we don't know if they can win the championship.' They really didn't do anything on the road with the elite teams in the league, they lost, they had a bad record when they went to face the elite teams in the league. I think they're a good team, but I don't think they're ready to take the next step."

Really T-Mac?

Listen to McGrady's comments. Check the 5:30 mark.

easy for someone to say when they not even playin in the playoffs and there teams is performing better lol

lol wtf.. mac didnt even mention his own team.. he knows they don't fuck with him anymore

He didnt do anything but tell the truth. The guy asked him a question and he answered honestly with stats and information. Way to go Tracy.

His opinion is much better than all these pundits that have never stepped on a court.

People hate the truth

how can this muthafucka comment at all :smh::eek::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

That's exactly what I'm wondering. His irrelevance is being cemented in the annals of the NBA Hall of Shame as we speak and he's got the audacity to talk sideways about the team with the best record in the NBA. :smh: at this loser.

:smh: at T-MAC losing the sympathy vote. He's really doing himself an injustice with this shit. Apart from his fame and ill-gotten millions, the only thing that he had going for him was the 'Star-Crossed' athlete angle. Cats felt for him. Now he's alienating everyone with his sour grapes posturing.

Nigga just speaking the REAL. LAKERS will win this bitch this year, then what? He doesn't seem so stupid afterall?

:yes::yes:

So because he never advance pass the first round he shouldn't give an honest opinion about a team? smh!

T-Mac has to be the longest-running, or at least the funniest ock victim since I've been here. That nig can't catch a break

Him not getting out of the first round don't mean shit.

We jabber on and on about basketball, and none of us play professionally.

So by shitting on him we're taking a bigger shit on ourselves and might as well delete any basketball thread here.

He's qualified to talk about it IMO, and he's right as far as them winning on the road against elite teams. The Cavs have the best record, but they've been feasting on weaker teams in the east.

Even tonight they're beating a Pistons team that has been done the second that Iverson trade happened.

With that said I think they're still a very dangerous team and wouldn't be surprised if they did win it all.

I will be honest, he was asked a question and he gave his honest opinion. Sure, the knee jerk reaction is to dis him because he has never made it to the second round but that does prevent him from giving an opinion on who might when you really weigh in on just that question being answered.

All things considered though, this n!gga crazy, LOL.

.

The Cavs were like 26-4 against the West:rolleyes:

They struggled against the elite team.. but 3 of the 4 best teams were in the EAST this year
