Regardless of how much of this article is true or not... my reasons for giving up fast food is based purely on not trusting other people to prepare food for me. I dont trust that a 16 year old kid is going to be sanitary, or even understand and care about the concept or value of being sanitary. Im also not trusting the 30 year old to not wipe his nose with his hand or sleeve when he has a cold and then continue makin my burger... Bottom line... People are nasty..and in my mind i wouldnt trust even 25% of people i know to have high standards of cleanliness 100% of the day..
Ive worked in fast food and have seen plenty of food fouls... Ive also been a bartender for 7 years and know that random people sitting at the bar stick their nasty hands in the fruit tray to eat olives and grab their own lemons and limes. Lemons, limes, olives, oranges that have been sitting out all day collecting dust and germs and might be reused and sit out for the next 3 days if they are unused. Olives put back into the big jar to contaminate the rest and not thrown out until they show signs of going bad which could be weeks. One bar I worked at for a few weeks didnt even know to have their bartenders put plastic over the pourers at night to keep fruitflys out. Some of the bartenders would pour the liquor first and then use the ice to hide the fruitflys that came out of the bottle.

Good luck getting anyone to clean the ice machine. People get lazy, managers just want to go home.
Places get closed down by the department of health every day.. But think about how many people get served before that happens. Chinatown in Chicago is a popular place to eat and has many restaurants.. About 10 years ago, the health department moved in and shut down about 14 restaurants there in the same day. The localnFox news had their cameras there and walked in these restaurants
that had meat hangin on hooks from the ceiling in rooms that werent refrigerated, rat shit caked on the floor underneath the tables, and the cantonese restaurant was so bad the dude didnt even want to describe what he saw... If you're questioning whether this article is true or not.. Google health violations in your city... This is what I came up with when i did...
Chicago's Dirtiest Restaurants
So think about what fast food really is.. Animals that are abused while they are living, abused during production, and abused before it is served to you...

It is the anti-nutrition.
