2025 Chicago Bears Season Thread

We'll see who performs when the lights go on. DJ is the alpha until I see someone else consistently match what he can do for us on Sundays.

I wish I could be more jazzed, but I'm just not. I've never been a Braxton Jones believer, and I'm worried about Caleb's blind side, especially going up against Brian Flores' defense in week one, which ties quarterbacks in knots. And Ozzy just ain't ready yet. And I don't see anybody on that defensive line getting to the quarterback on a regular basis. I miss having a true pass rush and I don't think we're going to have one yet. And with Jaylon and Kyler Gordon out, we could be truly fucked defensively. Really hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, we have issues at left tackle, running back and getting to the QB

Allen blitzes more than Flus, so there's that, but still.

Not exactly happy some of our biggest weaknesses still weren't addressed

Agree with you 100%. Though I'm interested in seeing what Ben does with the running game. I actually think D'Andre Swift is a better football player than people give him credit for being, especially with an actual NFL offensive line in front of him this time. I'm happy we've got Dennis Allen running the defense, but I'm still pissed with Ryan Poles. Even though I think Colston Loveland and Luther Burden are going to be beasts, I really wanted him to address that anemic pass rush during the first two rounds, and him passing on some of those quality linemen is going to come back to bite us eventually. We'll soon see.
