Yes price is one difference. Horse-power V8. But the transmission, the exquisite suspension, the cornering, is better than the 3. More room, smoother ride. Just fast and fun. The 3 is sporty, quick and fast and has a good chassis. But it all depends on how you drive. I like to mash on the highway and hit corners hella tight. But personally all these new BMW's have lost that old BMW feel, even the last gen 5 that I like.Man I'm already knowing I had one I just got rid of.
3 series is feminine to me. I see every educated strong independent woman on the road driving one of these. I use to like them when I was back in high school but now that I'm grown, car just seems childish to me.
Besides I'm the type that's gotta have the best version of that model or else I can't fuck with it.

The five is a family car, the three is for single people leasing.
Many families buy the 3 series because it's the most affordable sedan in their line. The single people buy the coupes.
