2014 Corvette Reveal Live at 6pm eastern

Nice looking exterior.

Do all American interior designers go to the same school? They all seem to use the same grade of plastic

come on man let niggas bask in shit for a few minutes first damn

Are you kidding me with that interior? That shit looks straight out of a C4!

thought it was just me :smh:

that shit lookin mad tacky and cheap
They haven't even showed the live pictures yet. You mean the pics of the pre-production, still camo wrapped model they were showing in the background while they were talking?

just talking about the interior. based on the pics you posted, and the images from the reveal, it doesn't look good at all.

dated

The pic I posted I thought it looks good. It is driver oriented

Those pictures from the reveal while they were being interviewed were of the interior but they were basic CG renders. Look again and you can see the difference.

Now you want to talk about dated? Look at a $95k Nissan GT-R

How anybody is complaining about this car is beyond me. You're getting Ferrari/Porsche performance for under $60K. Looks that would snap necks and an interior with true metals. No faux CF, aluminum, or leather. This car is bananas. I'm still trying to soak in how much they upgraded the performance options on this vehicle and still managed to keep it within the same price range.

That's some hell of a cross-shopping!

Sheeeit, I was gonna cop a Veyron, decided to go with a Silverado after I heard it didn't have a truck bed. $1.2mil and I can't get a truck bed. Deal breaker!!

Real talk, the car is still hot though, it's justs just that for a 2014 model, I expected more from the interior

I'm not drooling over the interior. I thought the Viper team did a better upgraded interior on theirs than the Vette team did on this. BUT...I'm not saying I don't like it. Its a welcome improvement over the original. Seems to be more from following function, which I can appreciate in a sport car.

From what I understand, it does 0-60 in under 4 seconds, and is faster than the current C6 grand sport. That means, this BASE Corvette is trackable...seriously trackable, out the box. It weights less then last one, has more power, better interior, better brakes, better fuel economy, and were JUST talking the base model.

I'm a Ford guy, but I gotta put this ish in prospective cause a lot of BGOL members hate on American cars. This is a $60k sport car. 0-60 in less that 4. Track ready out the box. Streetable enough for daily driver use. And it even gets 30mph on the highway. Name a better car, in the same price point, that can match it. Go ahead, Ill wait....

Some other facts.
-99 Lbs of material removed
-57% more rigid structurally.
-Steering structure 500% more rigid.
-Over 1G cornering.
-7-Speed Manual
-At least 450hp from the new LT1 (and possibly closer to C6 ZO6 505hp when final hp figures are announced. I think it will probably be something like 475-480hp.)
-Under 4 second 0-60
-They didn't mention this, but based on perception, It seems as though the IP is mostly LCD screen with configurable graphics.

If you compare this to the first C6, it's a pretty significant leap in all areas
.

I hear you, interiors are something you have to sit in and touch to get a true feel of how upscale or not it is. I've seen plenty car interiors that look got in pictures, but felt like straight plastic at the auto show. You gotta sit in them man. That said, I don't think this interior looks bad, the driver oriented dash has been done, but it's a driver oriented car. Also that bright red color scheme , I think is what's making it look tacky as SIDESHOW mentioned.

Not to derail... but while the car heads are here. I was on my way in Lenox today and saw this beauty...
