2003, every single one of those games with the exception of Madden and GTA was considered "gay" and you were also considered "gay" for playing them

Posting this for people's opinions.
I don't remember people being called "gay" for playing those games, but Nintendo after the Nintendo 64 was largely seen as a k*ddie brand and you might have been looked at as childish for owning a GameCube.
Nintendo obviously recovered with the Wii which everybody had/wanted.

Funny you said this cause I remember when genesis came out as well as snes.. Me and most of my boys became genesis heads and wasn't really fucking with super Nintendo cause we consider genesis a mans game.. Sounds funny coming from mostly preteen boys and just barely teens but it was true.. We was like get this kiddie shit out here when it came to snes.. We were all gravitating to sports games and genesis had the better sports game.. The joke was when mortal kombat came out for both systems and snes didn't have blood and the genesis did.. We were like see get That pussy ass system that's scared to show blood out of here lol.. Its crazy how we loved Nintendo when we basically started elementary than gravitated to genesis basically by the end of elementary/ beginning of junior high
Somehow Nintendo stuck to its guns and decades later truck gold just targeting the kid demographic
