Being little, I was exposed to the Gobot's commercial first and I thought they were the shit. It surpassed Masters of the Universe. The action figures were the shit. But then like 6 months later Transformer came on the scene with their comic book then I felt Transformers were better. The action figures then came out. They were ahead of the Gobots in my opinion.
The Transformer's song, the transforming sound, the styles, their pistols, and it was more realer than the Gobots. I won't knock the Gobots though. Their transformation and music was cool but could not touch the Transformers. Gobots had limited changing. There were not Gobot animals, headmasters, etc, and only two combiners.
Then came the TV series for Transformers came out and I was very impressed. The Transformer's tv series that I see now is garbage but anyways Gobots came out with their TV series. With the Guardians and Renegades, their were only three main characters on each side. I wanted more.
It was good but Transformers was better, I think. The Gobots shot beams from their hands, the Transformers shot lasers which seemed more real. Gobots came to earth already as human vehicles, a mistake there. The Gobots looked like child's play while the Transformers looked like shit you can take serious.
Lastly, both had movies out. One sucked and the other one did not. The one that did not sucked should have made much more than it did. Leader One was cool but seemed lame compared to OP. Cy Kill without a doubt was corny compared to Megatron. That nigga turned into a moped while Megatron turned in to a laser. They tried to do Super Gobots to match.
But what did you niggas like better? I liked Transformers better. They should do a live Gobot action movie?

we have too much time on our hands... and I am responding.. Transformers was the shit. I was in college at the time and I remember this girl walking into the student union building and turning the channel. 
She got cursed out that day..
