If you gotta look at cars that's 20 yrs old, you need that bus pass a lil longer...
It doesn't have to be 20 yr old or new - how about 10 - 12 yrs.? Might have to save a lil longer but you'd get (maybe) less mileage, better fuel economy, parts that are a lil easier to find...Those older reliable low maintenance vehicles are more likely to keep one away from a bus pass that an overpriced new car (especially after Trump's tariffs) that is a maintenance shop hog, especially considering many Americans love living above their means to be flashy in appearance.

Not to mention the more tech and bullshit in a Car the more problems . Older cars with basic shit out last these over complicated overpriced fancy metal shit boxes . All the big huge screens and battery draining electronics are a self destruct gimmickEvery last one of those vehicles listed is still on the road today. Sites like cargurus and craigslist have vehicles that are 20 years or older that get sold on the regular. My Aunt's Tercel was about 30 years old and still ran good. She simply wanted something else when she parted with it one day. Some of her friend's newer vehicles were falling part with all kinds of maintenance issues that she never had to worry about.
Also, a frugal neighbor of mine had an early 2000's Prius from high school. The only reason she got something else a few years ago, was because it was in an accident. It out lasted her girlfriend's vehicles. She told me, the same girlfriends who would try to talk her into getting something newer.
If a person really needs something NOW with limited funds OR simply doesn't want to spend but so much on a vehicle, those vehicles listed are a good option, fam.

Even if you’re not broke and have a ton of money you’re better off buying a random reliable cheap ass car. Cars are total money draining depreciating junk.
