ff always had great graphics!!
!!!I got that feeling this joint is going to have a FF7 like affect on the PS3!! Damn the score sounds tight too! Hate FF7 or love it, that might have been one of the most memorable musical scores in Square history..

That's only if you got involved with FF after FF7 came out. FF4 and FF6 actually have the best scores.

I never played the Japanese FFs, I played all the American released FFs leading to X and FF7's soundtrack is distinctly memorable. FFIII had some good joints too (is that FF6?) like Kefka's theme. But IMO FF7s is classic. For real, actual symphonies were performing Sephiroth's One Winged Angel and Aerith's theme!
Chrono Trigger has a great score as well..

Looks great. I almost stopped the video until they finally showed gameplay. I hope it is a good game, but I don't like Jrpgs. I prefer western action rpgs such as, Oblivion, Fallout 3, K.O.T.O.R., K.O.T.O.R II Sith Lords, etc. I just can't get into the turn based battle engines. I know there is the Tales and Star Ocean series, but the tried and true emo characters don't resonate with me.
I use to be a huge JRPG fan until I started fucking with Bioware. Real rap, Jade Empire, KOTOR I & II, Bioshock, Mass Effect have evolved the RPG genre. Great story, characters, and seamless action. But I still have a soft spot for FFs.. Turn based games aren't that bad, I just got done with Valyria Chronicles on PS3 and that shit was great..
i really like oblivion and such, but i much prefer turn based gameplay.... i wasnt feeling the tales of vesperia demo at all...

Oh I remember that mission. The key is to keep all your units in front of the tank and shoot the blue wall structures with lancers or tank shells at the hinges. Maximilian will shoot the fallen debris and thats when you use a scout to run up aside the tank, climb the ladders and throw grenades into the exposed radiators. When she finally comes all your units should be on the furthest right side ahead of your last base. She goes the long way around so you should take the tank out before she greets you..
I do have to say that I am slowly trudging through Rogue Galaxy right now. I do wish thst Square would make another Brave Fencer Musashi. I'd picked that up day one for the PS3.
I forgot all about Jade Empire. That's one game I missed. I'll probably pick it up to play on the 360. I just beat Mass Effect last week. I bought it day one, but the Mako frustrated me to the point of not playing it again for over a year. I must say the game was one helluva ride and the story was great and consistent with the two books.
It's a combination of the combat style used in Final Fantasy XII and Star Ocean. I hope you're open to playing RPGs because videos can be misleading. I still remember when Final Fantasy VII came out all those non-RPG playing people who bought it from the store I worked at based just on the commercial and all the returned copies.
I've seen it before i just haven't purchased and played it myself i'm gonna give it a shot I like these games with interesting stories.
I'm not biased towards a particular type of game i'll play anything as long as its good. I still haven't gotten my hands on Bio Shock and Mass Effect yet i loved marvel alliance 1 plus the xmen 1 and 2

Yeah it does look good. I used to like turn based RPGs but after playing games like Tales of Destiny, Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean 2, and Fallout 3, I can't play turn based games that don't have much strategy involved. Not saying that about FFXIII since I haven't played it yet but with Squaresoft's track record as of late...
. There are some games like Valkyria Chronicles that are good, but it wasn't a simple 'target enemy, press button & hit' game. It involves a good amount of strategy & that I like. I'm playing through Fallout 3 now and I know people might disagree with me on this but to me it is the best single player RPG right now. If Bethesda were to develop an MMORPG for the Fallout universe... it would be over. I'm sure plenty of people will support FFXIII though for the experience & visuals.Can't wait.. The only reason I would have brought a PS3. To bad the trailer don't have the Mike Epps lookin Mothafucka.
stopped playing RPGs cause they take to long but recently I've been gettin the itch and D/L'ed old PSone Suikoden for my PS3. Brings back fond memories...
