1 AM in Palmdale California at IHOP Who right employee or Customer

The customer is right. If you work in any customer service oriented business, your not gonna take your scheduled break exactly as scheduled all the time. Sometimes you might take it before or take it after depending on which customer needs servicing. The employee should have just served the customer, then proceeded with his break.

This is not a good look on the company as a whole. If all doctors had that attitude, the death rate around the world would be sky high through the roof.

Management.

When I was the business, I told my employees to either leave on their breaks, or to take off anything that identified them as a staff member.
Why because of people in the OP. People are assholes and would give no fucks about you if you're out on the floor.

If he's the only one there they should lock the door and put a "will return at 130am" sign.

Customer fucked up by arguing with someone that prepares his food. As soon as I saw that he wasn't going to serve me I would have left and found somewhere else to go. He can't win. He can either deal with dude refusing service or he can accept service from a mofo that's pissed at him. Neither is good but I don't trust a pissed off person preparing my food.

If the worker gets fired, he needs to understand that the Universe did him a favor. No one in their right minds would want to work a shitty job in Palmdale or Lancaster.

Also, IHOP ain't what it used to be either. If you're arguing with an IHOP employee about his break... you may need to re-think your own life.
