They put a Planet Fitness 7 minutes from my house. Dope. no more excuses. Currently 209

G' - I was talking to a friend of mine the other day. He's mid-40s and lives in an apartment. Small in stature - he noted 5'6" and 125lbs. I asked him how he's maintained his weight over time. He's been going to Planet Fitness for years. Primarily for cardio stuff ... but he does plenty of outdoor running. Especially in the summer months. He uses the treadmill at the gym when the weather isn't great ... and has just gotten back into weight training after years away from it. He said the outdoor running was actually burning too many calories and he was getting quite thin ... said he needed to get back on the weights to rebuild some muscle mass.

I gave him credit for the discipline. He doesn't drive, so he does plenty of walking & taking the bus as well. Eats pretty sensibly too. Said he has a sweet tooth, but the answer for him is just keep everything in small moderation. IF you want to snack on some junk or sugary food ... just get a really small bowl. That way you're not using a big bowl that's overflowing. Said his go-to's are cookies and M&Ms ... again ... just only in a small amount.

My mom's boyfriend's pretty good about that too. He's a taller guy and on the heavier side ... but really disciplined when it comes to snacking. After dinner he'll just make himself some tea & grab 1 of his favorite cookies. Smoke a joint afterward ... he's good. My mom laughed and said - "yeah, that's his routine ... just the 1 cookie as a palate cleanser ..."

:roflmao3:
