I’ll make 3 quick points…

Condit had a great gameplan that he executed to perfection, but at the same time it didn’t make for an entertaining fight or at least the one that most people expected when Joe Silva put this matchup together. That being said, he deserved the win and I personally don’t think it’s as close as some are making it seem. To me he ran away with it, No pun intended.

Diaz needs to grow the fuck up and maybe get a real cornerman rather than your brother who doesn’t know shit either, you gotta be able to adjust your gameplan on the fly in this sport if the shit isn’t working out for you. He clearly was getting outpointed and you had to know that going into the 4th & 5th round. Y u no improvise?

The UFC lost out in the long run, Diaz vs. GSP for the title would’ve been on par with Evans vs. Jones and/or Sonnen vs. Silva 2 as far as the closest thing to 1M ppv buys. They’ll do decent numbers with Condit vs. GSP but only because of who GSP is already. I’m curious if they’re wishing that they would’ve just saved Diaz vs. GSP for when Georges was healthy and forgone this WW interim match.

Totally agree, man. MMA is a very tough sport to call ... as we've seen fights end in 7 - 12 seconds, and others go far too long in boring 25-minute championship affairs over the years. There's no rhyme or reason to it. My brother says the strategy he uses is the following, and neither of us are really gamblers - just like making some general predictions.

- If you can ... go back and look at the past 3 - 4 fights for that particular fighter IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT THEM
- Also ... glance at their record to see how they have faired against the type of competition their opponent has faced. Often people will cross paths as they build their records ... as my brother says ... "This guy beat that guy ... so technically he should have an easier time with this one ..."

Condit was running away...anytime Diaz walked him down to the cage he (Condit) threw some strikes than ran out the way....that was not countering....he literally as baccking up then ran out the way....

Diaz was more aggressive & pushing the action....

It's not just a Dana thing, the fight was too close. If Condit turned down the rematch and lost to GSP, he'd put be considered a fluke. At this point not to many people are giving him much of a chance against GSP. It's better if he takes the rematch and possibly lose. He'll still be relevant in most peoples eyes because he's one of the few that didn't play into Diaz's fight style. He can always get a shot at whoever wins between the two.

As TJ DeSantis said on the Sherdog Radio Network ... IF triathlons paid as much as MMA does, trust ... he'd say fuck MMA, and compete in them full-time. That's his true passion there. Competition. Endurance training. Swimming / bicycling / running. Trying to better his time(s). He is a FIGHTER by nature but it's more the badass aspect of 1-on-1 and so on.

he is a fighter by nature but w/o the rules & regulations they put on him...he just likes to compete & fight w/o all the press conferences...autograph signing etc....

I just rread a article that said when they went over to his spot in Cali to shoot the Primetime episodes they said all he did was smoke & train all day....

he loves to train...I don't think the spotlight or UFC is good for him...thats why cats like Diaz love the Japanese orgs...you are less constricted...less of a puppet...its either he fights abroad or just stay to traditional tourneys or local comps...he can't keep smoking & competing...even tho I think its BULLSHIT that he will be suspended for marijuana
