My otter box's belt clip is your best tool. It's waist high and allows you to pan and tilt. Using it puts you at a disadvantage when the target is right in front of you though.

Damn....I never thought about using the belt clip as a creep-cessory!!!!! That's fucking genius and there's no way to even suspect creep intentions.....
Of course you're using a background hidden video recorder on your phone right? Having the camera running on your phone opens you up to confrontation if someone SUSPECTS you're creeping. Background video then hitting your home button allows you to record discreetly.
yep I use Mobile Hidden Camera app...I've mastered the art of holding it inconspicuously to get shots but still...there is always a risk
