told the The Southampton Press Fridaythat she converted her street from a “rodent-infested dump” into an oasis and frequently intervened in public disturbances, while calling people “n—ers.”

“I came into this neighborhood colorblind,” she told the paper. “When you are a pioneer, like I am, it’s not easy. I’m the only white person who owns and lives on this street.”

The local police chief told the paper that Smith called the department nearly 200 times.

An audio tape revealed that during one call in August she claimed that “a bunch of ni—ers” were in front of her house “drinking Hennessy.”

Smith told the paper in a phone interview that using the racial slur was not a big deal, adding that Eddie Murphy “made a career” from using it.

She mentioned one instance where she scared away people loitering in front of her home.

“I said, ‘You f—— n—ers!’ and they just dispersed,” Smith recalled.

The Post could not reach Smith Friday evening.
