UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

Iran retaliated with missile and drone bombardments against U.S. bases and allied territory, targeting military facilities across the Gulf, including Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. One Iranian drone killed six American service members at a U.S. command center in Kuwait. Asked whether Americans should be worried about retaliatory attacks at home, Trump acknowledges the possibility. “I guess,” he says. “But I think they’re worried about that all the time. We think about it all the time. We plan for it. But yeah, you know, we expect some things. Like I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die."

How are you going to elect revolutionaries? How are you tasked with fighting the same jackasses that cut you a check and give you a pension? The behavior of the 4 congressmen is no different from that of Senema and Manchin — this is controlled opposition. The entire thing is a farce. Governments are meant to be bourgeois and not revolutionary.

That's what makes the California cackling caricature uninteresting. Yeah you told us something, but that was prognosticating it was manufacturing consent. Tell us again that this country isn't racist. Tell that to all of the female government workers who lost their jobs.

I’m starting to believe it was worth putting Trump back in office so we can watch the collapse of the MAGA legacy.

Job losses

Surging oil/gas prices

Stock markets collapsing

GDP growth slowing

Blue tsunami incoming

Does anyone else feel like there are two completely different realities right now?

On X… people are watching events unfold in real time.

War developments… economic data… policy debates… global shifts.

Then you walk outside, talk to people in everyday life, and it feels like none of it exists to them.

No awareness.
No curiosity.
No sense that major things are happening in the world.

It’s like two parallel conversations are taking place at the same time.

One group is tracking information constantly.

Another group is completely disconnected from it.

So I’m genuinely curious…

Is this just the nature of social media concentrating news and discussion in one place…

Or are most people simply too busy living their lives to follow what’s happening?

What do you think?
