Ain't that the truth. Read last week the Cheesecake factor told its landlords to go fuck themselves, but 'joe average' supposed to hold his own nuts and is made to feel like absolute shit if the virus affects their ability to pay.

I would love socialism but it will never work in the real world.
Getting a paycheck in emergency situations is not socialism. Socialist want checks from the government as a way of life.
Im all good with helping people. People need help. I’m ok with giving food stamps, welfare and cash payments but it should be temporary not something people get for years and living off the government with no motivation to work hard.
There are no successful socialist countries.
You have people like Bernie Sanders and AOC that preach how much better places like Finland and Scandinavia is so much better than the USA.
My question is why don't you move there. Bernie Sanders have 3 Homes and all of them are in the United States.

They live in a fantasy world where with Socialism they'll get to keep their current way of life and also get free healthcare, housing, food, and whatever else with no trade offs.

It doesn't work like that. You have to learn how to properly cherry pick the good, leave the bad, and then make your comparison. Or you can cherry pick the good and leave out the bad shit that is done to achieve the good results.
For example, the countries that are more socialist but have tight ass immigration laws. You highlight how they have great healthcare and support systems, but leave out the fact you just can't walk in there and get put on like in the U.S.

That's a very MAGA/CAC response..... "If you don't like blah, blah, blah than leave the country". You seem to have a "that's just the way it is" rebuttal to the flaws of capitalism. These types of attitudes gives the flaws strength and a green light for more flaws. Just like anything else there is no such thing as a perfect economic system but that doesn't mean you can't try to fix the flaws.
Oh and people/citizens have complaints about every economic system.

You are 100% correct. Getting a "temporary check" does not mean we are a socialist country. Socialism pays you a" lifetime" entitlement checkas well as other free services... whatever that means.
I find it odd that people who complain about the ills of capitalism and claim socialism is so much better never pack their bags to move to a socialist country. I've always wondered about that when it comes to Bernie Sanders.
There's a big difference between complaining and actually risking you and your families lives to escape one system for another.
And for what its worth, people who live in socialist countries I can almost guarantee you have far more complaints about their governments than we do. You just don't hear about it. When was the last time you read a newspaper from another country.
I once laughed hysterically when I read how the NHS in England claimed they had to cut back on certain medical services for certain ailments because they did not have enough funding in the current years budget. As I recall, one of the issues was cataract surgery... the government would no longer fund cataract surgery but would only issue a stronger prescription of glasses.
Or, maybe they have to pay around half their income to taxes. Or, that universal health care can have you waiting a year for an important surgery...
Complaining is annoying and usually results in me not wanting to be around that person very long. You're always much better off trying to fix yourself rather than other people.

The Flaw in Socialist ideas is that. Why work hard? Why bust your ass when your going to get the same benefits as another person that is lazy and does not want work.
Capitalism is not perfect, but there is a reason why the USA is the richest country on earth and people break there necks to come over the border.

There are and have been plenty of people relocating to other countries. Relocating doesn't equal poverty and death. You guys are making it sound like America is heaven and everywhere else is hell.
I am not for one over the other. I am in America and this is where my roots are planted. But like I said and you agreed, capitalism is not perfect so instead of throwing passports at people who shine light on the flaws let's make an attempt to ban together and fix them.
