my issue wasnt that it took so long...im glad they did their due diligence to verify he was the right guy
my issue is that they have had all this time...at least a week...why a press conference on a sunday night?...what would have been the difference had the held the conference 8am today
i can understand if it just happened...and they was rushing the info to the public but its clear that wasnt the case

if there was no difference if it was announced on sunday night or monday night then why are you concerned that it was done on the sunday? most likely they knew that it was going to get leaked and wanted to be the ones to announce it.
did you know that in fact the first person to say that osama was killed wasnt even in the administration. it was donald rumsfeld's former assistant/press secretary. he had some friend, probably in the pentagon, who basically told him. then the guy tweeted it even before the announcement was made. this was just a case of the obama administration wanting to be the ones to announce it, and frame the discussion before anyone else could.
