1)have the money to actually sign him
2)have a proven track record that he may actually win something.

and that is not the nets in brooklyn:smh:

i think orlando deals him if they know for sure he wants to test out the free agent market and they do it b4 the season to avoid a melo situation... that automatically eliminates the celtics...

I already said I'm going with LA because it makes sense. The Lakers are out of conference.

Trades for superstars usually the star goes out of conference

Melo west to east
Deron west to east
Iverson east to west to east
Shaq west to east to west
Tmac east to west to east
Jason Kidd west to east to west (I am aware he was traded to the suns but he wasn't a star yet in dallas)
Hell even Kobe when the rumor came about he was going to the east (chi)
Ray Allen east to west to east
KG west to East

I think that the league and players union will agree on a hard cap set at about 60-70 million

orlando fucked their cap up with gilbert dude...look at it, howard's contract will be like melo's...21 mil a season, bynum makes like 16mil a season add Derrick Caracter and Devin Eubanks, trey johnson and a few picks and its a deal... no pau...maybe odom but the deal would have to expanded since he makes money too...but lakers won't take gilbert's monster contract...besides the lakers rarely get raped in trades, they're like the spurs they don't get raped in trades ever.

No player in his right mind should choose to play for Donald Sterling. Winning is not a priority for the Clippers. Sterling is happy to coast by and make a nice profit off of his tv contract. The extra $ that the Blake Show is bringing in is icing on the cake.
The Clippers don't know how to be competitive.

At least with the Nets they have an owner who is committed to doing what it takes to win and can manage their cap and free agency.

I'd like to see San Antonio find a way to land Dwight. Yeah it's a smaller market, but its a franchise that knows what it's doing. Duncan is on the decline (Tim's still got game in him) so the timing is right.

David Geffin from Dreamworks is interested but Sterling hasn't indicated that he wants to sell the team. Blake has made the team more valuable so Sterling may hold onto it a bit longer.
