If you thought Melodrama was crazy wait till the "Fight for Dwight" starts this summer.
Seems like Ric Bucher and others have found out that Dwight turn down signing an extension with the Magic which is weird.
As we saw with Melo signing an extension was the most important thing to him because the CBA is changing and he will stand to make way less by signing a new contract with the Magic after CBA. He can't really demand a trade as we saw with CP3 players with two years left have no power vs players with one aka Melo.
So the writing is on the wall Dwight is leaving Orlando unless they win a championship.
So what team do you feel Dwight is going to?? Here are the players.
Lakers: Inside Ric Bucher has said there are two teams Dwight wants play for Lakers were one of them. Dwight would be in a bigger market but more important he would be on a contender with teammates who know how to win. This would have to be a trade since LA has no cap space. Only problem for a player who hates to be compare to Shaq he would actually be running to Shaq's shadow.
Boston: a team that seems to already be preparing for life beyond the big three. KG and Ray contract would be off the books and if they extend Jeff Green. Boston line up could look like Dwight, Jeff,Rondo and Pierce. That's not a bad line up but the problem Orlando will want something in return and this only works if Dwight signs as a free agent.
Nets: The other team Ric Bucher said Dwight was interested in was the Nets. Dwight was pissed when he found out that Deron had been traded and the Magic did nothing to get him. (Fairness to Otis who predicted that would happen) reports later came out that Deron and Dwight had agreed to play together after the 08 games. Deron suprised the NBA world when he said he was willing to sign an extension with the Nets two weeks ago and more suprising he wants something to happen soon as the cba is settle so his contract is not a distraction. Many writers think do Deron and Dwight have an agreement already (wade and Lebron) for Deron to commit. The Nets have everything a team want rebuilding need. 7 first round picks. Brook and Kris would be the key pieces and they are also able to take back one of the Magic bad contracts.Hedo likely. One problem they are in the same conference. Stars are usually traded out of the conference.

Gilbert who has fallen out the rotation in the playoffs. Hedo who has regressed since signing his contract with the Raptors. Orlando is so messed up in order to get better they would have to trade one of their young players. (Nelson Bass or Ryan)
