Green Lantern new footage: maybe we were WRONG

That was a billion times better

Why did they put that first bullshit out?

Fam, they just edited together some shots. Guarantee you it's the same bullshit. They didn't go back and re-film, believe that. They just cut together a trailer to make it not look stupid.

Exhibit A

That trailer makes the movie look had as fuck but the movie was complete bollocks (lol TEN)

Exhibit B

Exhibit C

Don't fall for it fam. Wait for the reviews.

I was gonna see it regardless. But my expectations is it's gonna be whack or very average.

NOW THAT IS THE CORPS

Plus Sinestro at his best

I knew Geoff Johns when he said this movie followed Secret Origins story line there was nothing to be scared of

:dance::dance::dance:

Green Lantern been running DC comics since Geoff got on board and this will only help it even more.

Yeah but @ least this one actually seems like an action movie instead of a romantic comedy

All i know is that i want to see THIS Green Lantern, NOLAN's Batman, and the Routh Superman in the same damn movie. That's the Justice League that I want to see. Not the reboot they're already talking about...

I clearly have no choice but to see it. GL has always been my favorite superhero and I was going to see it no matter how the trailer looked.

i dont know if its about who owns the rights to this stuff, but for some reason live action movies cant have more than one version of a superhero out at a time.

turn on your tv and you got Justice League Batman, "The" Batman, AND Brave and the Bold Batman all going at once. but you can't have 2 different Batman's because...well...i dont know why.

so they're going to end the Nolan Batman, reboot him with another cat, and use that one for the live action Justice League movie.

it CAN be done right, but these Hollywood cats are just not in the loop most of the time.

that Oa scene was fire though mayne.

I hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those movies with too much dialog and one big action scene at the end. Cause that's exactally what it looks like. I'll wait for reviews before checking this one out. Count me in on captin America though I'll b there the night it opens.

:dunno: I'm still not really sold. Getting tired of green screen back drops look so fake. wish they would go back to just building sets but I know that would be time consuming and costly. Example look at the original stars wars trilogy vs. the New trilogy. Almost every scene was shot on green screen. to me it just made the film look cheesy.

I agree with you. It is too cgi heavy on the main character and it looks it. the costume makes him look animated. Still not feeling it, but to its credit the clip probably just showed 80% of all the good CGI just to salvage the butchering on the blogs they have been getting since the first trailer. Still not going to see it.:smh:

looking at the transformers 2 trailer... it looked like it was gonna be a great movie. But because of the human element, the shit is cheesey like the damn current generation of cartoons. Transformers at its prime was when them muthafuckas didnt focus on the any earth dwelling bastid. Xmen.. it was a fail from the beginning no matter how you try to justify it. Along with wolverine. There are so many cutscene fuck ups in that movie.

routh not superman anymore..and the new one wont be in any JLA movie whatsoever according to zack snyder

No "Superman" & "Justice League" Crossover

By Garth Franklin

With Warner Bros. Pictures announcing earlier this week that they plan to get a "Justice League" movie off the ground and in theaters as early as Summer 2013, one obvious question arose.

Namely, how in the world would Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern fit into this equation as all three are key characters within the 'League'. With Chris Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" wrapping up Christian Bale's take on the character the year beforehand, the idea of casting a new Batman isn't that shocking even if it seems rushed.

Ryan Reynolds turn as "Green Lantern" has yet to be seen and the production of 'League' is far enough off that it wouldn't be a big surprise if they could get him involved or re-cast with someone else should the audience not warm to the upcoming movie.

The real issue is "Superman". In December next year Warners will be asking audiences to take the journey with Henry Cavill as the new Clark Kent/Superman in director Zack Snyder's reboot. So will Cavill also be in the "Justice League" film ala "The Avengers"? It would seem not.

Speaking at the "Sucker Punch" premiere, director Zack Snyder tells HeyUGuys that his film "doesn’t [connect]. Like what Chris Nolan is doing and what I’m doing with 'Superman', what they’ll do with 'Justice League' will be it’s own thing with its own Batman and own Superman. We’ll be over here with our movie and they’ll kinda get to do it twice, which is kind of cool."

The news effectively shoots down calls that DC/Warner is trying to copy Marvel and its shared character universe - instead, DC seems intent on pursuing stand-alones with only a few crossovers. The advantage of this is if the audience warms to one or two particular actors in 'League', the studio could spin them off into all new franchises. The potential downside is with numerous actors playing the same role at once, it could devalue the character brand.

I've been noticing the same thing. It's like half the actors just film some shit at home then send it in to the producers who make a movie outta it.

c/s with you on this:yes:

what I thing studios should do is go half and half with it. close object like building or part of lets say a mountain should be built and cgi should be used for background and small details to make it look like it was not shot on set

take how they did the cg and monster fx in LXG (league of extraordinary gentlemen)

Far better trailer but something seems off to me, I am expecting this film to be very average.

well, the Warners might have taken heed to all the fanboy disgust, as it appears new footage has been released to generate more interest.

this thing is big, like COSMIC big...hundreds of GLS on screen fighting Parralax...and more.

This trailer might have actually salvaged the movie in my eyes. I might go see it now. 1000% better than that original bullshit.

Kamoze

The problem I have is the corny shit they showed in the original trailer is still gonna be there, plus they got a lil heavy with the CG.

If you are a green lantern fan seeing this trailer has you excited as fuck.

First image and voice you hear is Sinestro coming down arms folded and speaking calmly.

Sinestro_Green_Lantern_002.jpg

this already let me know they hit it on the head with one of the most important characters in this movie. also he will not be a villain in this movie. He will be the mentor/teacher/comrade of Hal Jordan. So that already lets me know they are not rushing anything. So when the fall out happens it's even bigger when Hal has to go against the Lantern who helped him and trained him.

I will admit the first trailer looked to focus on the reckless of Hal Jordan. Someone who will never commit to a relationship. Who loves to fly and live with out fear.

Other people maybe worried about this movie but if Geoff Johns says they used Secret Origins as a blueprint and judging from both trailers it looks like it.

this will be my movie of the year.
