JUDGES DECISIONS:

JUDGE dasmybikepunk:

Seventh:

kingphred72020:
I'm traumatized by the Auto-tune mess this was.

Sixth:

Lord Vicious:
Not impressed with this even tho' the lyrics
sound is soooo classic and the beat has potential
but honestly I would not bang this track.
There's potential but the arrangement of the
beats and the lyrics are not done well.
The track does not flow.

Fifth:

brabra:
70's meets 90's R&B laced.
A little repeating but I guess that's the
point, needs something but I can't quite
put my finger on it. Not Bad but Not Great.
Great lyrics or singing could turn it around
but that's just a possibility.

Fourth:

Alaskanredman:
This track needs a more pronounced intro sample
or beat, the sound was steady and nice although
it rang of documentary soundtrack more than
listening music. The samples are epic!

Third:

Skinnie Talls:
Very nice to track solid. Sound was classic
beats are true.

Second:

Gekko:
Pretty good even tho' every element was at the same volume level.

1st:

Slim Cutty:
Exciting intro and mad beats, def' a funky style in
a good way. Really like this track!
Sounds Breakbeat all day!

JUDGE dasmybikepunk's Winner is
Slim Cutty

JUDGE DJCandle:

Skinnie Talls:
This shit right here took me back to the early 90's on some Machine Gun Funk flow.
I'm feelin the way this was flipped, and those drums are hitting somethin serious.
Well done.

kingphred72020:
I wasn't feeling this beat at all. Seemed all over the place, and tough to follow at times.
I do however give you kudos on the overall production of the track.
Everything came together well, but the flip itself needed some work.

Alaskanredman:
Intro caught my attention right away. Unfortunately you lost me with the beat.
While it's a great beat, I 1) had trouble determining the flip, and 2) felt it
didn't mesh with that intro. The beat or the intro would both be great alone,
but they're definitely fighting each other on this one.

Slim Cutty:
It was ok. Quality was nice. Beat came off as average. Felt like it needed something
else for variation.

Andeyhollawho:
I enjoyed this quite a bit. Had a nice laid back, throw the top back vibe to it.
Nice groove, great beat, overall came together nicely.

brabra:
One word. Smooth my nigga. Ok that's 3 word's, but this track spoke for itself.
Smooth as hell, and as versatile as anything out there. EQ it up, and it's ready to go.
You'd have to be a loon to ruin this one.

Lord Vicious:
This beat was ok, and I see what you were going for, but the chops could've hit a little
better I feel. Also felt a little all over the place for me.

Gekko:
TRACK 1:
It was ok. There's alot of fighting going on between instruments, so it made it tough to
find a good vibe. Production was ok, but I couldn't really hear the vocals too much as they
sat a little low. Overall average.
TRACK 2:
I might be mistaken, but it sounds like the same beat. Same scenario as far as that goes.
Em sounded ok on it, but again, hard to find a vibe.
--
I myself chose to sit this one out, so I give much props to all you cats who put forth the
effort on this one. In the end this came down to 2 choices:

Skinnie Talls and brabra.

And my winner is: brabra

There's an element of smooth here that no one else reached,
and I could feel it for sure.
For shit and giggles, go ahead and throw an acapella over it,
and lemme bump it in the ride.

Great job homey.

JUDGE DJCandle's Winner is
brabra

JUDGE GET YOU HOT:

The Lord Vicious track is my winner! (see below)

Skinnie Talls
That sample in the beginning is over used in general, not just on this track. It's oook.

King Phred72020
The voice over with the distortion sounds hot!Great tempo. This one works for me
and would be my runner up!

Alaskanredman
Very nice intro, now, put in the Ice T sample over the beat! Sound quality, from a
sample is key. Sure there are messages in the sample here....

Slim Cutty
I can see this being a good beat for an okay song. There isn't much content and it
would be easy or sing over.

Andyhollawho
If you were a DJ, at my party I would be staring at you like this -_-.

brabra
There is potential for something there like a gamer soundtrack! Nice instrumentals
but this needs some work!

Lord Vicious
Perhaps, the best sample, put together and sounds like a track, from a hit album.
I would like to hear this one performed live!

Gekko
TRACK 1
The tracks'beats combined, set it off from the beginning. I really like rap & hook
With that music. I like the beatdown at the end, classic!
TRACK 2
Eh there is no like sound separation between the intro and then the body of the
rap. I was thinking a duet telephone conversation, a man's phone voice would be
cooo...work on it some more, you have something here but add the girl in earlier
on the track!

JUDGE GET YOU HOT's Winner is
Lord Vicious

JUDGE An R&B Thug:

Skinnie Talls:
Seems Like A Acid Trip, A lil too much going on, However a good effort

kingphred72020:
Nice Effort, Timing was done well, I liked It

Alaskanredman:
Opening did not Segue into the sample properly, also sample beat seemed to be second priority

Slim Cutty:
I liked this, He knew exactly where He wanted to go with the sample

Andeyhollawho:
Decent work, Nice effort & Crisp sound.

brabra:
Ok Beat, Pretty much generic after that with no surprises.

Lord Vicious:
Lyrics were not in sync with the beat at times, beat was decent though.

Gekko:
Track 1 - I Like it a lot, lyrics had the perfect timing, catchy tune with all the bells & whistles
TRACK 2: - Didn't like the slowed down version too much, Lyrics were out of sync too.

My Winner is Gekko - First Track

JUDGE An RnB Thug's winner is Gekko

JUDGE TEN:

Alaskanredman:
Although I cant hear the sample in this I do like this joint for what it is.
This cat is clearly meant to be scoring movies.

Andeyhollawho:
I would of preferred to hear this track without the added vocals as I just
don't think they match. Really good use of the sample though, and I love the
other samples in there too. A hard hitting, albeit little messy effort
from PML battle first timer Andeyhollawho. A promising talent.

brabra:
Last months winner returns fully armed to do battle.
And once again brabra doesn't disappoint. He makes his own
melody out of the sample and wraps it around a boombap hip hop beat.
I think his hi hat's have been mixed too high, as they would of been much
better crunched back in the mix. This track has a killer melody created
out of the sample, but lack of attention in the overall mix spoils its
otherwise perfect broth. Nevertheless this is still a great hip hop
head banger just waiting for a punchline rap artist to take it to the next level.

Gekko:
Track 1: I just don't think this works with the Biggie vocals
Track 2: Better but still going in too many directions.
But both tracks have good use of the sample and create their own vibe.

kingphred72020:
This is a very cool production! Great melodic use of the sample that
compliments the added vocals. Sounds like something that could rock on
someones mixtape tomorrow. Very professional and pleasing to the ears.
I played this 3 times and it gets better with each listen. Great track!

Lord Vicious:
I like the rawness of this track, and I love that snare.
It kind of reminds me of some of that raw hip hop Geto
Boys used to make. At first it seems like the sample
hasn't settled right, but then its melody breaks through.
As usual with hip hop it's the simple under produced joints that
really capture its true essence. Thats what this track has done.
It's reminded us whats really good, and in these times of sickening
commercial crap its great to hear some real hardcore dirt.

Skinne Talls:
I say hot damn Skinne is not fucking around with this one!
Once again Skinne goes to war with the sample and comes out
the winner. The intro alone is crazy and then the funk kicks
in and all hell breaks loose!. Big snare beats rule the track with
added vocal samples by Biggie Smalls ingeniously placed around the
track. Works excellent as an instrumental and really shows off the
sample to great effect. Some cool sprinkly percussion in this too.
A monster production by a producer who is fast becoming my favorite.

Slim CUtty:
A big production by Slim that goes all in with the cymbals crashing
and the sample blaring from the rooftops. I don't like the snare in
this one, just don't think it sits right. Not a track that I'd play
many times but he has definitely made good use of the sample to do what
he wanted it to do. No need to play it loud as it already is.

TENS Winner is Skinne Talls

FINAL JUDGE Keone :

It was a tough choice between gekko and slim cutty the diddy rap voice
messed it up for gekko tho. so my vote goes to slim cutty. the beat is
funky and riding and isn't boring. the use of the sample is also dope.

This was dope thanks. next time holla at me again

peace big bro.

FINAL JUDGE Keone's Winner is Slim Cutty.

Why not use soundcloud or something to make it easier to listen to? I'm not downloading a bunch of tracks, I'd rather just click and listen.
