Glory Road and it was a movie about Texas Western aka UTEP now. Dope.:dance:

They were like a 12 seed or something like that, right? Rollie Massimino was the coach.

EDIT: Just looked it up. They were an 8th seed.

Texas Western was probably the biggest upset...

When Nova beat Georgetown,it was an upset because they had been slept on.Nova had played the Hoyas real close in two games that year before the Final.

Thankfully,we have a shot clock now...

Glory Road was a good movie......i like the ending most of all.....the coach made a moral judgement call to play nothing but the black players only.

My alma mater, NC State did it in '83 when I was there. We had to win the conference tourney to even make the ncaa's. We did that and every game we played we were supposed to get beat. Houston and their phi slamma jamma was supposed to blow us out but we tapped that ass instead. I remember everybody being drunk and fuckin for at least a week. I don't think anybody went to class. White boyz stole the furniture out the library and started a huge bonfire on Hillsborough street.:lol: Wolfpack baby!!:dance:

I'm sorry but if your team comes from a major conference than I cannot consider them a Cinderella team whatsoever (Villanova 85' and NC State 83').

If a school likre Clemson made it to the final four this year as a 12 seed... I don't see how they would be viewed as a Cinderella because they play in the ACC that had tree teams who made it to the sweet sixteen.

VCU is the definition of a Cinderella in my eyes, small conference, high seed in the tournament, and doesn't get to recruit major H.S. talent or send it's players to the NBA.
