Me and a friend of mines was talking about that not too long ago
You would of thought he would think of something to get past the Sharingan

Maybe it's all the new characters but this shits alright. Kakashi plan was inspired shadow mimic with body switch tech, the abilities of the Mist ninjas were interesting, unique and extremely vicious. Some good work was done today.

Didnt get his ass kicked. They both were fucked up.
To me it seemed as though Naruto got the shorter end of the stick, something I now thought of concerning the story, we know the Japanese see 'Americans' as 'superior' hence most of their dominant characters have 'Euro' features, could it be that Kishi is trying to bring back the 'Japanese Arch Hero type' with his portrayal of Sasuke, who's quiet, determined, and focused, plus he's got black hair, unlike Naruto who's loud, aggressive, blond and extremely annoying?

heh Even when the hero has black hair he will be loud and annoying. I think japs just love that anti hero guy who isn't bad but he isn't good either so that gives them a cool dangerous factor, because when shit needs to get done the anti hero will get the job done without thinking of the consequences unlike the hero who will be contemplating morality issues. Good analogy and I never even thought about that angle to be certain! In this case, I myself prefer the Anti Hero, a 'Dark Batman' hero type so to speak!

I seen it as...Naruto would've got up eventually. Seeing how he woke up and touched Sakura. But I can see what you mean that sasuke may have jabbed him a bit more. But you gotta consider the fact that Naruto still doesnt see him as a real enemy. So he wont go completely serious on him. Looked like both the Rasengan and Chidori collided and they both flew away though.
ONE more thing. That Valley fight between the two wasnt even significant to me. Hows sasuke in FULL curse mode and fully unlocked Sharingan and still barely beat him! If naruto even went two tails he woulda ruined the manga.

In the oav Sasuke whipped his ass cause at the end of the fight Sasuke was still standing and Naruto was on his back
Whats this barely stuff? If not for the kyuubi-heals-all-wounds-card Naruto uses in all his fights he would be dead when sasuke impaled him with his arm. Then he got healed and got beat again, give credit where its due.
Did you miss the part where Sakura was on top of Naruto hugging him?
the Magic pill sound four gave Sasuke made him a hell of lot stronger than he really was.

Well from one knee but Naruto was lying on his back with large sword cuts on his chest and blood coming from his mouth. He also had people crying over him cause they thought he was dead. But all Sasuke had was blood flowing from his eye, from amateresu.

I'll agree with you here, that fight the whole time Naruto was fighting on a 'friend/sparring' basis he never saw him as an 'enemy' and even though he went into Fox mode he still was fighting on that premise, as seen when he scratched the headband, the challenge put forth by Sasuke and he 'retired' for the fight, if he did go full 4 or even 5 tails Sharigan or not, that lil fassie wouldn't be able to contain him!
Well I guess in a sense, but isn't it the same with 'Sasgay' who's entire play/fight book is a combination of Naruto/Orochimaru moves?

Yeah but their fight was based on a personal 'trust' of seeing who was the better Nin between the both of them, only Sasuke didn't 'play' by his own rules he was going all out, while Naruto was honoring the terms and arrangements of the battle at least that's how it came across to me!

Well the way Kishi wrote that part it made sense for Naruto to have this 'uber' power against the 'Magic Eye God' Madara, as it stands now I can't see Naruto defeating him, he's got nothing to battle any genjustsu and he's still weak in my opinion holding on to an ideal which isn't true anymore, you'd think after all the carnage he's had to endure he'd turn 'bad arsed' but Kishimoto just loves fucking with us, and putting his man crush on top!

Wasnt the point of their last meeting when Sasuke was about to kill Sakura(Who was plotting to kill Sasuke first, but he's the bad guy for the preemptive strike cause she has a vagina). For Naruto to finally see Sasuke as an enemy and get serious.

Itachi got rid of Sasuke's curse mark and before that Sasuke had those wings cut off so it was the sword that cut naruto up.
