I am looking for the speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. titled "Beyond Vietnam" (preferably in FLAC and/or mp3 (320 kBit/s). In this not so famous speech Dr. King calls out WHITE FOLKS for their misconduct in regard to their political, economical and social relationships to non white people. In this speech Dr. King challenges the policies of president Lyndon Baines Johnson, president John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy and president Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower (all racist/white supremacist suspects) and every administration that had a hand in the Vietnam war.

Beyond Vietnam

Any assistance will be appreciated. Any yeah, WHITE FOLKS and the BGOL sambos that have nothing constructive to contribute should stay out of this thread.

oNe!!!

It befuddles me, how you dudes still see the government as pristine and can't believe shit we post on here about there wrongdoings......and a lot of you are black:smh:

Greta drop. MLK was very aware of all the shit going on:yes:

Props!

Could someone also pull up the interview that he did in Chicago for WVON radio whereas He said He nor anyone else should bond themselves to one political party. I heard it on the radio earlier today. The 86+ percent of Blacks folks in America that vote straight Democratic every year need to hear that interview.

Props!

BUMP

I disagree with this idea but would love to hear King's logic.

Good post. I agree with the sentiment that blacks should not bind themselves to anyone party. When you do that the other party dismisses you and your Democrat party takes you for granted, knowing that no matter what they do, you will still vote for them. Make them earn those votes!! Now that's power!!!!

The obvious problem with that is that the other party could be dismissive of blacks regardless and, for all this talk of the pitfalls of black loyalty to the democratic party, it is that longstanding loyalty that made possible the election of the current black president.

People have it backwards IMO. The Republican Party dismissed blacks (with a sneer) decades ago. Black political allegiances have just been a logical byproduct of Republican contempt for and disrespect of blacks.

What a contradiction! Most white folks support non-violence and yet the system that they continue to maintain, support and refine was built and is still being maintained, supported and refined by the use of direct and/or indirect violence...

True that! Most black folk have not yet figured out the logic of this system: Violent or non Violent -- the racist/white supremacist suspects will always want to dictate what and how it should be done. Look at what they directly did to Martin and what they indirectly did to Malcolm...

Great find! This speech shows how many layers this man had, and that he really wasn't any different than Malcolm was.

Props!

So you agree that Black folks basically teamed up with the Democratic party based off their emotions? Currently thats a problem that we still have. Instead of getting emotional, running and jumping from side to side, how about demanding and holding the elected officials, rather Dem or Repub, accountable?

Theres a lot of good Repubs. It just seems like the bad ones get the most attention/power. Hence the reason why people always give Repubs a bad name. Same can be said for the Dems, tea party folks, etc.

......it is that longstanding loyalty that made possible the election of the current black president.

...lol

From a historical prospective that was a good thing.
But then what?

BTW...im trying to pull up the show that I listened to.
Its on a podcast.

Is it true he said, either in a speech or an interview, about wondering if it was actually wise to intergrate into a burning house before he died?

The drum major instinct. I will post it on here soon but it is by far the speech that angered white folks the most.

great speech

he used to have them cacs MAD boy

speaking nothing but the truth they did not want to hear

THIS SERMON IS CALLED THE DRUM MAJOR INSTINCT. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT. AND WE ARE CAUGHT UP IN THIS NOW.
