Saw Jeff at a house show a couple of months ago...the drug abuse was OBVIOUS. Watched him during the fan interaction and he was barely coherent. He's dangerous to himself and to the guys that he's in the ring with. Seriously.

that was one of the worst ppv's i never paid for!!!!!!!!! russo needs to be fired for his writing, and the booker should get shelved too. no more Bischoff in 2011

While I think TNA could have made some money building up Ken Anderson's chase of Jeff Hardy all the way to Lockdown, I get why they took the title off him last night. Can't have your World Champion pleading guilty to drug charges in federal court.

im sure Russo might figure out some way to work this into a story angle

Hardy's legal troubles have been off limits since he got back so I don't expect that to change. If he has to serve any time, we'll see Jeff get suspended or injured to explain his absense.

Now if you want some work/shoot stuff, check out Jarrett/Angle. That's going to be great and horrible and the same time but the matches will be good. They have to wrestle at Lockdown.

damn, I guess that whole WCW Hall Of Fame induction class is out the window, Michaels is being put in the HOF after being out of wrestling for not even a year yet.

Yeah, you got that right. Maybe even a match at Mania with Del Rio? Doubt it though.

It looks like Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel have been shipped over to Smackdown to form Nexus-Smackdown, along with Ezekiel Jackson who is a much better heel in my opinion.

They're really blowing it with the HoF. They're running out of "big names" to induct because they did so many and so many more current names that they're hurting themselves long term. Steve Austin, Bret Hart, and now Shawn Michaels already being in while notable 80s stars such as Demolition and Nikita Koloff have been skipped.
I thought the Freebirds were automatic as should be Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard (it shows how good that team was that Tully was a main eventer before but is best remembered for a tag team that was only together less than 3 yrs). I think Abdullah the Butcher would be perfect. He lives in the area and there's a lot of PG footage from his run in WCW in the early 90s when he feuded with Sting, Brian Pillman and Cactus Jack.

I can't fathom why they thought it a good idea to bring him back as a big, smiling giant instead of the "Guyanese Colossus" as he was when he got hurt (Matt Stryker can come up with a nickname).

Two interesting news item, one major

FORMER WWE AND ECW STAR QUITS TNA
by Mike Johnson @ 3:14 PM on 1/11/2011

Stevie Richards announced this afternoon that he departed TNA, writing on his Twitter:
"Just left Universal Studios. Had a great talk with Terry Taylor and Vince Russo about making the decision to quit TNA Wrestling. Thanks to everyone there for the past 2 years."

Richards' work had been really good during the EV2.0 run so it's a shame he wasn't more in the mix of late. One thing you couldn't deny was his work ethic. Prior to that run, he had portrayed the Dr. Stevie character in the program with Abyss.

With Richards' departure, Tommy Dreamer is the "last man standing" from the EV2.0 contingent, which means for the third time in his career, he's the last "ECW" guy left from a version of that company

Even more importantly

Ring of Honor issued the following statement to PWInsider.com in response to the story I wrote about this evening:

Ring of Honor completed its 2 year TV contract with HDNet. During this time "ROH on HDNet" fans witnessed many great matches, the introduction of the ROH Television Title, and the crowning of new tag champions, among other historical moments. HDNet will air new episodes of ROH until 4/4/11. Please continue to support ROH and watch these new shows on HDNet.

Negotiations are underway for HDNet to broadcast a live special in 2011, and we will bring you more information on that as it becomes available. Ring of Honor Wrestling would like to thank HDNet for the last two years, especially those behind the scenes that made it possible every single TV taping.

The final ROH on HDNet TV tapings are scheduled for January 21st & 22nd in Philadelphia, so come out and support ROH as we close out our weekly run on HDNet. Tickets are available here:

John Morrison has three clean wins over Sheamus, looks like it safe to say that if he dosen't get injured or get any heat on him he'll win the MITB at Mania and get a WWE title run some time this year. Having Seamus jobing so much does make him look weak leading into his feud back with HHH.

especially with him winning the King Of The Ring.

Yep. Add in his two Raw losses to Randy Orton, Sheamus is going to have to kick somebody's ass to get his heat back. Maybe he's the one who should be feuding with Big Show and not Barrett.
They just don't know how to build up heel heat anymore.

Feuding with Big Show usually doesn't work and I don't think that the WWE has any intention of putting Sheamus on Smackdown. Where's Jamie Noble or Evan Bourne when you need them.
The WWE doesn't know how to establish people without burying someone else in the process anymore.

they still have Chavo,JTG,Mark Henry and Golddust to use as jobbers.

Just finished watching Raw from earlier this week, and one thing shine thru .... DAMN I HATE WEAK CROWDS.

The crowd didn't really seem hype at all. They were pretty much silent during the CM / Nexus promo, which were all brilliantly done.

They didn't even seem that hype when HBK came out. Had WWE made that announcement a couple weeks ago when they we're in the Texas A&M arena, the place would have erupted.

Chavo and JTG are on Smackdown.Golddust is injured and the last time I thought they were going to use Mark Henry as a jobber they had him beat Tyson Kidd clean and then beat up Tyson Kidd's bodyguard.

Right now the 2 things I'm interested in seeing is who else makes the Hall of Fame this year and I can't wait for Ring of Honor's next PPV.Homicide vs Roderick Strong,The King of Wrestling vs The All Night Express and primarily The World's Greatest Tag Team(Haas & Benjamin) vs. The Briscoes.

Yessir.

I will say a feud with Show, whether it be with Barrett or Sheamus or anyone else, can work but it seems after years of him putting people over, they're afraid to have him do jobs to anyone. Have someone beat his ass and they become automatically the favorite in their next feud, which is what you want to do to build a strong heel. You see how they keep mentioning and trying to put over Tyler Reks (:puke:) knocking Show down at the Survivor Series (I think).
If Show's just going to eat Barrett's lunch like he did the Straight Edge Society, then, yeah, it's pointless.

Right now the word is Undertaker will get either Barrett, Kane, or Ezekiel Jackson at Mania. It all depends on his physical condition come April. If he can go, it'll be Barrett or the conclusion of the Kane feud. If he's still beat up, they'll go with Zeke and have an old school Taker match: start strong, get beat down, sit up, Tombstone.

Major **SPOILERS** – Rumored 2011 HOF Names

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Arn Anderson, Lex Luger, Ron Simmons, Dean Malenko, Madusa and The Honky Tonk Man have all been talked about for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame in Atlanta, GA. It should be noted that HTM turned down a HOF offer last year because he had a prior commitment that paid better according to him.

According to another source, Vince McMahon wants to induct former WCW rival Ted Turner but many feel Turner won’t accept the offer.

WWE officials are also planning to make a push for Sting to join the WWE Hall of Fame but many expect him to sign with TNA for another year.

Goldberg’s name has also come up for a HOF induction and possible WrestleMania match but talks have failed thus far.

More as we get it.

I like all of those (except Goldberg. I liked the dude but not nearly the longevity to be in any HoF) but I'm shocked with Madusa's name even being mentioned in rumor. I can't think of anyone who left and burned that bridge as badly as Madusa. She effectively killed their women's division for years.

Sting should leave TNA and they shouldn't sign him back. That relationship has gone as far as it's going to go. Even with what he brings as far as licensing, merchandise, and name recognition with their foreign markets, they have that with Hogan, Flair, RVD, and Jeff Hardy. Let Vince put that man in the HoF and get on with the 3 disc dvd set.

I was just as surprise to see Madusa as you. She showed up on WCW saying that she threw the WWF womens title in the trash. True Goldberg was a flash in the pan but he made a hell of an inpact in his short stint in the bussiness. Sting really has nothing left to really contribute to TNA but I would love to see one last match between Sting & Flair.

As great as Sting and Flair have been along with the chemistry and familiarity that they have with one another is 1 more match between them would be pointless and have no real purpose. Let their match to main event the last Nitro be their last match and one that had a purpose.
And yes let's get to his WWE disc. Also Rick Rude needs a disc as well and maybe he should go in the Hall of Fame this year being that he's a former WCW champ.Him and Tully should both go in and I'm surprised that they're considering Malenko.

if I was Kurt Angle there is no way I'd agree to bringing in my ex and her new husband Jeff Jarrett into a tv angle. some shit is better left untouched, might snap and ankle lock that bitch. nothings sacred anymore and i bet it was Russo's idea. Oh and no more Bischoff for 2011!!!

I was one of TNA'S biggest fans, but it's getting really hard to defend this crap as of late. The writting is extra garbage right now. Fire Russo, and Eric ASAP!

WWE did the same a long time ago w/ the whole Edge/Lita/Jeff Hardy thing

The problem I see with the whole Undertaker Mania match is that WWE spend SO MUCH time and money advertising it over the last three years that people are looking forward to it more than world title matches

As for those three choices. Ezekiel wouldn't work now because they have him working as a big smiling happy go lucky face character

Another match with Kane would just be pointless. How many time have they face each other at Mania .... and for that matter, how many times have they fought in the past 12 months?

If they do go with Wade Barrett, I hope they realize that Undertaker is a true company work horse and deserves (EARNED THE F'ING' RIGHT) to retire undefeated. They better not give Barrett the win just to put him over.

On the sting note, his last hoo-ra should be a "final wars" feud with the Undertaker, if Mark was planning on retiring too, that would be one that was waaaaay over due

they weren't married though. this bitch took the kids and moved in with Jeff during all the shit in the company. only reason they knew each other was cuz Angle had her on the show, and jeff get to fucking her and marrying her. sheeittttt not me, it'll be a slugfest on the national

It's still not as bad as Kevin Sullivan/Chris Benoit/Woman.Sullivan and Benoit were feuding and according to the storyline Woman had left Sullivan for Benoit.Sullivan wanted to keep up appearances so he told the 2 to spend time together so they wouldn't break kayfabe. Well she ended up divorcing Sullivan and marrying Benoit.

I'm surprised and I'm not on Malenko. He was an international guy who made an impact in ECW and WCW at the times when those companies were on top and he works for WWE. He didn't get to do much in WWF/E but if they put him in, I'm glad.
I'll believe the Madusa story when I see them announce it on Raw. It took 20 years for them to make up with Wendy Richter and they screwed her.
Rude would be great.
Still say the Butcher should go in.

Bruh
You do not understand the pro wrestler mindset. They wouldn't be doing it if Angle wasn't okay with it. Kurt Angle is one of the few guys today who could work in the territories, all of them. Not just because of his in ring and mic ability but because he's fucking crazy. He would be great on one of those old school Memphis angles.
Man, Jimmy Valiant jacked around Tommy Rich's mother on Memphis tv back in the early 80s. I can't tell you all the mothers, wives, and sisters that have been slapped HARD on tv to further angles. Just a different breed.

Before that

Eddie Gilbert/John Tatum/Missy Hyatt

Oh shit, way to go back on a nigga!!

Yep. Them cats worked themselves into a shoot, as they say.

**SPOILER** - Major Faction Returning To TNA?

Source: Pwinsider.com

According to sources, with the return of Scott Steiner at last night's iMPACT! tapings, it appears that TNA is building to the return of the Main Event Mafia. Kurt Angle will likely lead the stable, and Dixie Carter may also be involved as they battle Immortal.

There is no word on if Booker T will be brought back. He had been in discussions to return to WWE, but the negotiations broke down. Both sides remain on good terms.

After they finish this Immortal story line shit, I don't wanna see a faction story in TNA for a couple of years. Russo has run this faction crap into the ground. First Team Canada, then the MEM, and now Immortal. I'm fine with Fortune because of Flair excluding AJ as a member but every thing else has run its course.

TNA has superior in ring talent and sub par writing. If they would get rid of Brishof and give Paul Heyman the creative control and focus back on the matches TNA would be back on the right track. I got interested in TNA because of the X Division, they need to bring in new talent for the X Division and create some new tag teams.

I like all of those (except Goldberg. I liked the dude but not nearly the longevity to be in any HoF)

Goldberg didn't have the longevity but name someone besides stone cold, rock, or the nwo that made as big an impact during that time. Miz said something along the lines of legend being associated with old and i know he was doing a promo but there is truth to it. Stonecold wrestled for a long time but didn't make an impact until 96 and he was done by 02, Rock made his impact in 98 and was done by 04 and the nwo was the hottest thing going between 96-98 so imo impact>longevity.
