Brett Favre sister arrested at meth lab in Mississippi

DIAMONDHEAD, Miss. -- Brandi Favre, the sister of NFL quarterback Brett Favre, was arrested Wednesday at a suspected meth lab in Diamondhead, investigators with the Hancock County Sheriff's Department said.

The younger Favre was one of five people who were taken into custody at an apartment on Diamondhead Drive East, the Sun Herald newspaper reported.

Six of the units were evacuated, Maj. Matt Karl, director of narcotics told the newspaper. When agents searched the residence, they found methamphetamine cooking in the bathtub, Karl said.

A Hazmat team was cleaning out the chemicals Wednesday afternoon, WLOX-TV reported.

It was not immediately known what charges, if any, Brandi Favre will face. She and the other four people were taken to Hancock Medical Center for decontamination and will be booked after leaving the hospital, Karl said.
