Agreed. Don't even mention the Val Venis mess. You can't tell me that Sean Morley needed to go over Christopher Daniels as soon as he walked in the door. That's something Tommy or Bubba could bring to the booking from ECW: new guys do the job.

I do as well. Not my favorite guy but I don't want to see guys get hurt legitimately. For him to get hurt this close to Royal Rumble and the Mania buildup has to have Vince sweating.

And that is the main problem with the WWE.

THey should push all theri talent and keep them visible and relevant. Msyterio stays injured, but keep him working because they don't want to lose the viewers.

Right. Then they're forced to dump a bunch of young guys on us and hope they get over. If they had kept pushing Mark Henry, MVP, Kofi, Rhodes and Dibiase and Jack Swagger (yeah, I said it), they would have a crop of young guys who fans are familiar with and believe in. I have nothing against Miz or Sheamus and I think they're doing the best they can do and doing pretty good considering, but there were guys ahead of them waiting to be pushed and should have at least got a shot.

Sorry man, This is what I meant by pushing their talent...thanks for the alley-oop

With Cena gone this will be a great opportunity for a new main eventer superstar face run. WWE can now give chances to guys like Morrison, Kingston, and even R Truth(I would love to see Truth as a heel though). WWE also have fucked over MVP when he was there and now he is gone. MVP would have been great in that role. However I think WWE will attempt fill the Cena void with HHH or Zeke:smh::smh::smh: I can even see them turning Barrett face as Punk and Otunga and the rest give him the boot. Vince and the boys are going to have to really think right now. Orton stays banged up and Taker and Mysterio are injury prone as well. WWE is going to have to get smarter with talent and how they are marketed to their fans.

Cole Training for a Role in the Ring at Somepoint

Michael Cole has been learning to take bumps more recently in preparation for his upcoming guest referee roles at RAW live events. There are still plans for Cole to wrestle a match before too long as Vince McMahon still looks at Cole as one of WWE’s top heels.

Not sure I want to see Cole wrestle.

Breaking WWE News: John Cena injured at a live event
Dec 28, 2010 - 09:58 PM

WWE star John Cena suffered an apparent leg injury during Tuesday's Raw house show in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Cena was working a cage match against Wade Barrett that was stopped abruptly. Dot Net reader Angelo Ambrosecchia attended the show and filed the following report.

"The cage match with Wade Barrett ended out of nowhere, Cena couldn't even stand up. They had to end the match fast and get the trainers out. Cena had to be helped to the back, apologized to the crowd and said he thinks he will have to miss some time. It looked really bad. You can tell at the end something was wrong when Barrett climbed the cage and basically sat there for about 2-3 minutes waiting for Cena to get up and stop him from getting over the cage, but he couldn't stand on the knee."

Powell's POV: A pair of correspondents at PWTorch.com filed similar reports, so all indications are that the injury is legitimate. Obviously, this would be a significant blow to WWE, and perhaps even WrestleMania plans if the injury requires surgery. Nothing is official at this point, though. We'll have more details as additional information becomes available.

Awesome Kong about to "kill bitches dead" in the WWE..?

from her twitter

Never thought that I would see it happen.Congratulations to her and in this case TNA's loss and stupidity is the WWE's gain.
http://www.prowrestling.net/artman/publish/WWE/article10015953.shtml

Also it appears that Cena hurt his hip and won't be out for a lengthy period of time.
From Prowrestling.net
WWE headliner John Cena suffered a hip injury during Tuesday's live event in Wilkes Barre, Pa., according to Jim Ross. "He's day to day," Ross wrote on his Twitter page. "Knowing John, not too many days." To read more from Ross, visit Twitter.com/JRsBBQ.

Powell's POV: That's obviously great news for Cena and WWE officials, as there was legitimate concern that he was going to miss substantial time when he suffered the injury on Tuesday night. Thanks to Dot Net reader Terri Bey for passing along the note regarding Ross's post.

Update: Ross originally reported that Cena suffered a hip pointer injury. He has since tweeted that he was merely speculating that it was a hip pointer, but simply a hip injury.

Awesome Kong in WWE:eek:. She will prove which divas belong in a ring and who should just valet. A funny angle would be if Mark Henry dumps Alicia Fox for Kong:lol:. He would be like "Alicia you fine and all that but I needs me a big gurl".

Maybe Kong will end up being Alicia's "big" sister. And then later on Alicia's real life sister can come in as the little sister.

I don't feel good about how WWE will (mis)use her

THIS.

I'm happy for Kong in terms of her pocketbook. But not happy in terms of the matches that will likely come from this. Its hard to get happy about potential 5 minute matches againgt Natalya (as good a theyll be for that alotted time) when she has 20 or more minutes to work against a lot of equal talent in Shimmer (and her occassional opponents in Chikara).

I just wonder, how many of her WWE matches will I want to watch again after the fact? My guess is not many.

:yes::yes:

probably will be challenging tamina for the affections of santino

:hmm: It's almost inevitable.

That has potential but it would be a waste of a great talent, making Kong into a comedy act.

With Laycool doing jobs lately, I can see her being brought in as their backup. Kong vs Glamazon at Mania, that's a main event. Plus she'll get to hook up with Gail again (unless she gets released).

what ever happened to that giant white chick who was supposed to come out w/ nxt?

This WWE may want to reconsider using her now that Kong is on board. Also someone else agreed with me that Kong vs. Glamazon would be the rivalry. Right now with Kong on the roster here is how I rate the divas as far as in ring ability not wins or losses.

Top Tier: Awesome Kong, Glamazon, Natalya, Melina, and Gail Kim. They are all capable of putting on a good main event women matches is WWE uses them correctly.

Middle Tier: Michelle McCool, Alicia Fox, Tamina, Layla, Mayrese, and Kelly Kelly. These will be the improving squad all are on their way to being good workers and will get spotlight time but they are in this group for a reason.

Bottom Tier: Eve, The Bella Twins. Also Katelyn, AJ Lee, and Naomi from NXT should fill out this group. Let these 3 NXT girls work their way up.

Brock Lesnar Wants Out Of UFC Contract - WWE Return?

Posted on 12.28.10 | WWE News | Send news: News@24Wrestling.com According to Dave Melzer of the Wrestling Observer, former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is trying to get out of his UFC contract, which currently has one fight remaining on it. Lesnar reportedly wants to work WWE’s WrestleMania 27 pay-per-view in Atlanta next year and has been talking with WWE officials about how the deal can be done.

In what sounds like a very telling piece of information, Brock Lesnar has not talked with anyone from UFC or answered Dana White’s phone calls since losing the UFC Heavyweight Title to Cain Velasquez last month. Sources also say that Lesnar hasn’t began to prepare for his next UFC fight and hasn’t trained since losing to Velasquez.

It’s said that Lesnar has lost some interest in MMA and has been been re-considering his future in the sport after his loss to Velasquez and the beating he took in the win against Shane Carwin before that.

The MMA world has been buzzing about this story since Dave Melzer broke the news on Monday night. Comments from the Sherdog.net message board include:

“I predicted his defeat and early retirement long ago. I knew those flaws wouldn’t get him that far. But some were too dumb and bought the hype. I hope they learned their lesson.”

“People are saying he’s a not a fighter and never will be. Guys, he lost his debut in almost an embarrassing easy manner. He trained hard and fought his way back to a rematch and won! He doesn’t like to get hit, that’s why he’s quitting? Did you see the Carwin fight? He got his butt KICKED that first round and came back and finished him in the second like a true champion. Guys, he’s staged comebacks and beaten enough big names to prove that he’s a real fighter. If the man has lost his taste for it, so be it but he absolutely had it in the first place.”

Lesnar, who is known for being unbelievably competitive, does not seem like the kind of guy to just walk away from MMA after such a crushing loss without trying to get revenge or end his career with a win. On the other hand, he may have realized that the gap between his abilities and those of new champion Cain Velasquez is too big to overcome.

Additionally, its widely known that Lesnar was miserable with WWE’s brutal travel schedule and vowed to never be on the road with WWE 200 days a year again. With the mainstream success he’s had in the UFC and the insane drawing power he’s displayed during his time there, he still may be able to make a truckload of money working WrestleMania and a few other limited appearances.

Details On The Backstage Politics That Lead To Kaval's Release
Posted on 12.30.10 | WWE News | Send news: News@24Wrestling.com source: Pro Wrestling Torch

Brandon Silvestry (a/k/a Kaval, formerly known as Low-Ki) requested his release from World Wrestling Entertainment after being frustrated with his position in the organization. Sources believe WWE's creative department was told to bury him after winning the second season of NXT, but not until after an Intercontinental Championship Match against Dolph Ziggler at the Survivor Series, as to make it less obvious. After losing at the pay-per-view event, creative was told to resume burying him.

Following his quick loss to Drew McIntyre on the Dec. 21 episode of SmackDown, he reportedly asked organization officials straight up if he had any heat with them, to which he was told no. He then queried if they had any future plans for him and was told they didn’t. He subsequently asked to be released from his contract, which was officially granted two days later.

Silvestry joined WWE in late 2008 while reigning as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion in Japan. Original creative plans called for him to adopt a masked character and feud with Rey Mysterio. As he was awaiting his call-up to the main roster, he suffered a severe leg injury in January 2009, which sidelined him for nine months. Creative lost interest in utilizing the program by the time he healed and he remained in developmental until June, when it was announced he would be a participant in the second season of NXT.

Lesnar would be a big shot in the arm for the WWE. I can see him returning as a face initially since WWE is heel heavy with many top faces injured and injury prone.

This is why the creative team and upper management needs revamping:smh:. The fans need to revolt and let their feelings be known but sadly they won't.
