Durant is 20 years old and lead the league is scoring. he averaged almost 8 rebounds a game and 3 assists. and the kid is only 20. and he's playing with a bunch of other kids. look at the players Melo plays with in Denver and compare that to the kids Durant plays with in OKC. No comparison. Ask any GM in the league, who would they rather take, KD or Melo and it would be unanimous, no question, Durant.
Dwight Howard? How can he be elite when he has NO OFFENSIVE game after all these years. If he ain't dunking, he ain't scoring. And please don't say that running, sweeping hard ass bank it off the backboard hook shot of his is a go-to-move. A go-to-move means that you are more than likely to score off of it, and other than dunking, dude has no weapons in his offensive arsenal.
Durant averaged 30. His game has grown in his 3 years in the league. Look at his career stats, almost all trend upwards. With Melo, same ole. You know he's gonna score and that's about it.
Durant is one of the worst passers for his position and has a negative assist to turnover ratio. And he is also a poor defender and doesn't bring much to to table besides scoring. Melo is a top 3 player in the post. Might be the most clutch player in the league, is an elite scorer, and is the best pure scorer in the NBA. He also is a good team defender and a solid man to man defender. The people saying he doesn't play d haven't watched him play much last year.
