They could've got 2 max contracts & a regular role player contract. The other max contract didn't work out hence the cap flexibility. Not saying I agree with it but I don't think anyone foresaw the Melo/Denver drama when they pulled off this trade.
How many difference making players like Melo are in the league? Noah is a great complimentary piece to have on your team but he's nowhere near an elite player?

That ninja Melo signed a 4 year deal. He's tight with LBJ/DWade/Bosh. This isn't a shocker.

melo is an elite scorer not a franchise player...he is not a two way player...melo gets his points on volume shots...he needs a second star to do the franchise work, noah is not elite but he is a player u build with and use around a franchise players... very few franchise players in the league, a lot of elite one sided players tho...the bulls r built to win the title now but they won't unless they get a scorer and most def won't if they deal noah for that scorer unless that scorer can replace noah's defense...
take Cp3 off that list he already said that due to his injury he will not be the same player
You wouldn't put Deron Williams or DHoward on that list? Howard is borderline as he still has a lot to learn but DWilliams plays a huge role in Utah's efficiency.

Big difference in playing style between Penny, Webb, and CP3. Like I said earlier, he isn't a high flyer. As long as the knee stays structurally sound despite the injury, it shouldn't affect his game. He will still have the floor vision, dribbling ability, penetration ability and jump shot. The question is how does it affect his quickness.
Miami would be a lottery team every year with DWade. He was the only player on that squad and he carried them to the playoffs. Like Barkley said, he was Michael playing with a bunch of Titos.
DWade can and will play Defense as evident by him being in the top 10/30 in steals and blocks. Melo wants no part of D.
