According to history demwits and republicans tend to vote along party lines. Currently both parties are fighting for those in the middle. The latest polls show independents leaving the messiah in droves. He ran on change. Some RINO's fell for it, many Americans fell for it. Not this time.
 
It's been said that Bill Clinton was most effective when there was a Republican majority in Congress. That's not to say that he got everything accomplished that he wanted to; we know that he did not. I believe he did balance the budget with Republicans having the majority in Congress for example. Perhaps if President Obama is elected to a second term, something I don't expect to happen, the country as a whole will make a greater recovery than if either party has control of both the Presidential seat and Congress.

What if we stopped thinking in terms of political parties and started thinking in terms of political classes. Then pols would be thinking about how to keep us off their asses instead of getting cushy govt jobs.

I knew what your comments were in reference to (LOL) and I didn't post the Vox Africanus piece because I agree with it. I still believe that the democratic party failed to digest its own diversity. The republican party is having a similar fight with itself.

The Democrats issue is that they are not energizing their base.

The media has dedicated the majority of their time to Christine O'Donald, a right wing lunatic that garnered less than 30,000 votes in a senate election she has a snowball's chance in hell of winning. The Democrats need to stop running away from their record. Their record is light years better than the republicans!

If they are so proud why are refusing to campaign with OBAMA or Pelosi. Are you talking about cap and tax that most Americans don't support? What about Obamacare that the polls show that most Americans don't support. One of the lead democratic supporters of the bill is down double digits I might add. What record please enlighten me? Are you speaking to keeping those whom are dependent on the democratic plantation? What Record? Seriously?
