I like the idea of classes for people to learn basic skills. of course he wants to do it in the worst way possible. a decent New New Deal program would have this type of thing. thats what the New Deal had. shit they do that type of thing in many nations now.
Retraining prison guards to be guidance counselors is not a terrible idea either.

Carl Paladino is from my hometown. This guy looks like an idiot in these videos, but the guy is no dummy. He is a major developer here in upstate and has played the state for years to get incentives and funds to create his empire. The guy has been known for years to be politically incorrect, brash, and rough around the edges. Is he an asshole and racist? Perhaps, but he has been known to give a lot to charity over the years as well as employ thousands of people. Not making excuses for the guy cause he is an asshole, but I kind of let him slide cause he is in over his head.
Trust though, he does have a following. He really isn't the Tea Party candidate as they're claiming him to be. He only in the last few years became a Republican after making many enemies in Buffalo and WNYs Democratic Party. He is no dummy, but he is definitely in over his head. His best bet is to make Andrew Cuomo lose his cool, and knowing Carl Paladino, he could do just that. He has nothing to lose, which as scary as it may sound, why he has a legit chance at winning. Glad I'm leaving NYS in December. If the best we can do is Paladino and Cuomo, then this state is truly fucked.

Anderson exposed him for what he is... a bigoted conservative. If you're not white and rich, he doesn't give a fuck about you. If you're living below the poverty line and need government assistance, you're a scruge in his eyes that need to be placed in gated institutions to be reprogramed with education and hygine issues. Notice, he didn't say that he thought those emails were offensive to himself, but he could see how others might find them offensive. He tried to brush it off like it was no big deal. Upstate NY (as opposed to NY City) folks are merely showing their true colors. There are pockets of white folks around the state who will tell this guy to go jump in a lake, but the majority actually want to give him a chance (over Lazio who is at least cordial)

Actually people in WNY are supporting one of their own. Paladino is the first candidate for Governor with WNY roots in generations. People in WNY are fed up that downstate gets all the attention. As far as Lazio, the guy is so out of touch. Lazio was already damaged goods after his Senate Election loss to Hillary Clinton years ago. Lazio was a chump, he was afraid of going toe to toe with Paladino in a debate. He actually tried to ignore Paladino hoping that come Primary Day that he would go away and Lazio fucked himself over for not taking Paladino seriously.
Not saying Paladino is a better option, but for people here in WNY, he's one of us and will represent us greater than any other candidate from the NYC region. With Cuomo we know what we're getting, with Paladino we don't. That could be good and bad....
